5.3 Start
5.3.1 Starting the engine from cold
1. Set the throttle control (1:F) to its foremost po-
sition (full throttle).
2. Press in the cold-starter (1:J) 3-4 times.
3. Hold the handle with one hand and slowly pull
the starter handle with the other hand (1:C).
When the starter mechanism engages, quickly
and forcefully pull the starter handle until the
engine starts.
NOTE! Do not pull the cord hard to its stop po-
sition and do not release it in the pulled out po-
sition. This damages the starter mechanism.
5.3.2 Starting a warm engine
The above procedure applies to starting a hot en-
gine but the cold starter is not used.
5.4 Operating
The gearbox becomes extremely hot
during operation. Risk of burn injuries.
Never overload a new machine. Do not
operate at full speed for the first 5 hours.
Setting the cultivating depth
Turn the runner downwards and set the desired
height. The height of the runner determines the
cultivating depth.
Operating
1. Start and adjust the throttle control to the de-
sired speed.
2. Tilt the cultivator back slightly so that the rotor
is lifted above the ground and depress the drive
control (1:A).
3. Tilt the cultivator forward so that it works its
way into the soil.
5.5 Stop
Stop drive by releasing the drive control (1:A).
Stop the engine by setting the throttle control (1:F)
to its rearmost position.
5.6 Operating tips
Set an appropriate engine speed. The maximum
speed does not always produce the fastest and best
results.
The correct working depth determines how easy
the work is. The optimum working depth varies
with soil conditions. Operate and test.
Drive 2-3 times in different directions for best re-
sults.
Never operate the machine in wet soil. Clumps of
earth are created that are then difficult to break-up.
Hard and dry soil requires an extra run, at right an-
gles to the first.

6 STORAGE
Store the rotary cultivator in a dry place. Also see
section "Safety instructions".
Petrol that is left in the carburettor
ducts for a long time will glaze and block
the carburettor.
Petrol
Drain the petrol by tilting the machine and drain-
ing through the filler hole.
Start the machine and run the carburettor dry.
Conservation
Tilt the machine backwards, remove the spark plug
and top up with approximately 1 cl of engine oil
through the spark plug hole. Turn the engine over
a few times and then reinstall the spark plug.

7 MAINTENANCE

Repairs must be carried out by the deal-
er. Otherwise the guarantee becomes in-
valid.
Before carrying out repairs and mainte-
nance, the spark plug connection must
be removed.
7.1 Periodic maintenance
Before each operation
• Check for fuel leaks.
• Check that all screws are tightened.
• Check the engine oil level.
After each operation
• Clean the rotary cultivator.
• Check for fuel leaks.
Every 10 operating hours and every 3 months
• Check, clean or replace the air filter.
• Change engine oil.
• Check that all screws and nuts are tightened.
Every 100 operating hours
• Replace spark plug.
• Check that all screws and nuts are tightened.
