About this manual
Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance for
the first time and follow the safety instructions.
This appliance should only be used as designated and described in
these instructions.
Please keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference. Always inclu-
de these instructions if passing the hand blender on.
Keeping electrical equipment out of reach of children

Children are not aware of the dangers associated with
using electrical devices. Children should therefore al-
ways be supervised when using electrical appliances.
Keep the appliance and its accessories out of reach of
children.
Keep the plastic packaging out of reach of children as
it can cause suffocation.
Plug the appliance into a 230 V ~ 50 Hz socket which is
easily accessible and close to the working area. Keep
the plug socket free of obstructions so that the plug
can be pulled out easily.
Always disconnect the appliance from the mains after
use and before washing it.
To disconnect the appliance from the mains, always
pull on the plug rather than on the cable.
Unwind the cable fully when using the appliance.
The mains cable should not be kinked or squashed.
Do not allow the mains cable to touch the blades du-
ring use.
Do not allow the mains cable to come into contact
with hot objects or surfaces (e.g. cooking surface).
Do not allow the mains cable and motor unit to come
into contact with water or other liquids.
