5. Safety Information

The guarantee/warranty will expire if damage is incurred resulting from non-compliance with these operating instruc-
tions. We do not assume any liability for consequential damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by improper use or failure to observe
the safety information. The warranty/guarantee will expire in such cases!
Dear customer, the following safety information is intended not only for the protection of your health but also for the
protection of the device. Please read the following items carefully.
a) General Information
• For safety and licensing (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifications to the product are not permitted.
Never dismantle the product.
• Servicing or repair must only be carried out by a specialist.
• Do not leave the packaging material lying around carelessly as it can become a dangerous toy for children.
b) Mains Adapter
• The mains adapter is constructed pursuant to protection category II. Only a proper mains socket must be used as
voltage/current source for the mains adapter.
• The socket to which the mains adapter is connected must be easily accessible.
• Use only the enclosed mains adapter to supply the digital piano with power.
• Do not pull the mains plug from the mains socket by pulling the cable. Touch the mains plug at the lateral grips and pull
it from the mains socket.
• If the mains adapter or mains cable are damaged, do not touch it. Danger to life from electric shock!
First switch off the mains voltage for the mains socket to which the mains adapter/mains cable is connected (switch
off the corresponding circuit breaker or turn out the fuse, then switch off the FI protection switch so that the mains
socket is separated from the mains voltage on all poles).
Only then unplug the mains adapter from the mains socket. Dispose of the damaged mains adapter or mains cable in
an environmentally compatible way. Do not use it anymore. Replace it with a new mains adapter or mains cable of the
same specifications.

c) Operation

• The product is not a toy. Devices that are operated with mains voltage have no place in the hands of children. Therefo-
re, be particularly careful when children are present. Operate the product in a way that it is out of reach of children.
• The product is only suitable for operation in dry, closed rooms. No part of the product must become damp or wet; do
not touch it with damp or wet hands! For the mains cable/mains adapter there is also the deadly peril of an electric
shock!
• Select a stable, level, horizontal and sufficiently large area.
• Do not put any objects onto the digital piano; never cover it in operation.
• Never place containers containing liquids, e.g. glasses, buckets, vases or plants, on the digital piano or in its vicinity.
Liquids may get into the housing and impair electrical safety. This also poses great danger of fire or potentially fatal
electric shock!
• Never place any sources of open fire, such as lit candles, on or right next to the digital piano.
• The product is only suitable for use in temperate, not tropical, climates.
