The fi lter foam (26) fi lters the air drawn in by the integral fan
to cool the amplifi er and protects the electronics from dust and
dirt. Because the air is drawn in through the bottom foam fi lter
and discharged through the top foam fi lter, the bottom foam
fi lter requires more regular cleaning.
(27) Top ventilation grille with fi lter foam
The air drawn in through the bottom fi lter to cool the integral
amplifi er is discharged through the top fi lter foam (27). Clean
the top foam fi lter (27) regularly to make sure that air can al-
ways fl ow freely.
5.5 Cleaning the ventilator fi lter foam
Use a vacuum cleaner or compressed-air blower to clean fi lter foams
(26) and (27) regularly and ensure trouble-free operation and a long
service life for the amplifi er. Dirt is clearly visible from the outside
and quantities depend on the environment in which the unit is ope-
rated. Because the air is drawn in at the bottom and discharged
at the top, the bottom fi lter foam requires more regular cleaning.
Proceed as follows:
1. Unscrew the 2 black screws on the ventilation grille using a
suitable cross-head screwdriver.
3. Clean the fi lter foam using a vacuum cleaner...
