The indicated weighted effective value of acceleration has been measured against standard test procedures and can be used by way of comparison with another

Attention: The indicated weighted effective value of acceleration can differ during operation from the indicated value, dependent on the manner in which the device is
used. Dependent upon the actual conditions of use (periodic duty) it may be necessary to establish safety precautions for the protection of the operator.
2. Start-up

2.1. Electrical connection

WARNING
Mains voltage present! Before connecting the electrical device, check whether
the voltage given on the rating plate corresponds to the mains voltage. On
building sites, in a wet environment or for similar types of application, only
operate the electrical device on the mains via a 30 mA fault current protection
(FI switch). When using an extension cable, pay attention to the cable cross
section necessary for the power of the electrical device.
2.2. Start-up (Fig. 1 and Fig. 2)
Take the enclosed accessories out of the tank (1). Pull out the catches (3) on
both sides of the top part of the vacuum cleaner (2) for this. Remove the top
part of the vacuum cleaner (2) y the handle (4). Place the tank (1) on the floor
with the open side down. Insert the castor/castor with brake (5) with the axles
into the holes in the tank (1) until they snap in. Insert the holder (6) for the wet/
dry surface attachment (7) into the recess in the tank. Push one of the plastic
rings onto the wheel axle of the running wheels (7) for each wheel and press
the wheel axle with wheels onto the tank (1) until it snaps in audibly. Stand the
tank (1) on the wheels, place the top part of the vacuum cleaner (2) on the tank
and close both catches (3) on the top part of the tank until they snap in audibly.
ROLLER'S Protector L and Protector M are equipped with an antistatic system.
If static charges are caused by friction, these can be transmitted to the top part
of the vacuum cleaner by an electrically conductive suction hose E with electri-
cally conductive handle E and discharged from there. This prevents sparks and
shocks. The electrically conductive suction hose is part of the delivery scope
for the ROLLER'S Protector M and is available as an accessory for the
ROLLER'S Protector L. The suction power can be set continuously with the
suction power switch (8) between "min" and "max".
2.3. Selecting, inserting and changing the flat folded filter
(Fig. 3.1 and Fig. 3.2)
CAUTION
The electrical device may never be used without the flat folded filter.
Pull out the mains plug. Open the filter cover (9) and check whether the suitable
flat folded filter (10) is inserted. The flat folded paper filter is only suitable for
wet cleaning. The polyester (PES) flat folded filter is suitable for wet and dry
cleaning. This can be cleaned under running water but must be dried off again
carefully before sucking up dusts. ROLLER flat folded filters are approved for
sucking up dusts of dust class L and M.
To change the flat folded filter (10), open the filter cover (9), remove the flat
folded filter (10) and dispose of it in a dust-tight disposal bag. Use a suitable
respirator, e.g. particle filtering half face mask FFP2, and disposable overalls.
Observe the national regulations. Clean the filter holder and insert a new suit-
able flat folded filter (10) with sealing lip facing upwards. Close the filter cover
(9) until it snaps in audibly.
2.4. Selecting, inserting and changing the paper filter bag, felt filter bag,
vacuum cleaner/disposal bag
2.4.1. Selecting filter bag, vacuum cleaner/disposal bag:
Paper filter bags and felt filter bags are approved for sucking up dusts of dust
class L and M and for low-dust disposal. The felt filter bags can hold 2 to 3
times more than the paper filter bags and are tear-proof. The service life of the
flat folded filter is prolonged by using paper filter bags and felt filter bags. Wet
filter bags separate the water from the sucked up solids when sucking up dirty
water. The polythene vacuum cleaner/disposal bag simplifies disposal of dirt
and prevents dirt from accumulating in the tank (1). The polythene vacuum
cleaner/disposal bag is not approved for sucking up health hazardous dusts.
The following applications are recommended for the different bags:

2.4.2. Inserting and changing the filter bag (Fig. 1.5. and Fig. 2)
Protector out the mains plug. Use a suitable respirator, e.g. particle filtering half
face mask FFP2, and disposable overalls. Remove the top part of the vacuum
cleaner (2) from the tank (1) (see 2.2). Insert the filter bag directly in the tank
(1), push with the round opening up to the stop on the suction hose connecting
nozzle (12) inside the tank (1), place the top part of the vacuum cleaner (2) on
the tank (1), snap in the catch on the top part of the vacuum cleaner (3). To
change, remove the filter bag from the suction hose connecting nozzle (12)
and close the opening of the filter bag with the slide and the wet filter bag with
the plastic cap. Place the top part of the vacuum cleaner (2) on the tank (1),
snap in the catch on the top part of the vacuum cleaner (3). Dispose of sealed
filter bags. Observe the national regulations.
2.4.3. Inserting and changing polythene vacuum cleaner/disposal bags (Fig. 2)
Pull out the mains plug. Use a suitable respirator, e.g. particle filtering half face
mask FFP2, and disposable overalls. Remove the top part of the vacuum
cleaner (2) from the tank (1) (see 2.2). Insert the polythene vacuum cleaner/
disposal bag directly into the tank (1), push with the small round opening up to
the stop on the suction hose connecting nozzle (12) inside the tank (1) and fit
the large opening over the edge of the tank (1). Place the top part of the vacuum
cleaner (2) on the tank (1), snap in the catch on the top part of the vacuum
cleaner (3). To change, pull up the polythene vacuum cleaner/disposal bag
lapped over the edge of the tank and seal with the attached adhesive strips.
Remove the full polythene vacuum cleaner/disposal bag from the suction hose
connecting nozzle (12), seal with adhesive tape, remove and dispose of. Observe
the national regulations.
2.5. Connecting power tools to ROLLER'S Protector L and Protector M
(Fig. 2, 4.1. and 4.2.)
WARNING
The socket for power tools with automatic electronic on/off (16) on the vacuum
cleaner is only intended for direct connection of power tools with a consumed
power between 100 and 2,200 W.
On ROLLER'S Protector M, turn the plug (11) for the suction hose connecting
nozzle (12) completely to the left and remove. Insert the suction hose (13) into
the suction hose connecting nozzle (12) as far as it goes and snap the bayonet
catch shut by turning it to the right. The suction power switch (8) should be set
to "max" to achieve optimum suction performance. On ROLLER'S Protector M,
set the suction hose diameter selector switch (14) to the used suction hose
diameter. Adapt the suction hose/power tool adapter (15) accordingly to the
suction nozzle of the used power tool by cutting off if necessary. To ensure that
the cross section is as large as possible, it is recommended to push the suction
hose/power tool adapter (15) over the power too suction nozzle. Push the suction
hose/power tool adapter (15) onto the suction hose (13) so that the plastic buttons
of the suction hose snap into the holes of the suction hose/power tool adapter
(15). Push the suction hose/power tool adapter (15) onto the suction nozzle of
the power tool to be used. See the operating instructions of the power tool.
2.5.1. Connecting the power tool to the socket of the ROLLER'S Protector L /
ROLLER'S Protector M
The power of the used power tool must be between 100 and 2,200 W. See the
operating instructions of the power tool. Only then can the connecting cable of
the used power tool be connected to the socket (16) of the ROLLER'S Protector
L / ROLLER'S Protector M.
2.5.2. Connecting the power tool to a separate socket
If the power of the used power tool is outside the limits of 100 and 2,200 W,
