Usage and safety

HARTING's four-indent crimp tool 09 99 000 0888 (hereinaf-
ter referred to as the crimp tool) creates crimp connections
between stranded wires and contacts for Han
connectors. This crimp tool can be used to process individu-
al, turned, solid male and female contacts from the Han D
Han E , Han C and Han-Yellock
® ®
0.14 mm² to 4 mm² (AWG 26 to 12).
The crimp tool features a turnable multiple locator used to
properly position the crimping zone between the die jaws.
Table 2, page 17, lists the settings parameters for the crim-
ping depths; these can also be found directly on the locator.
It is not necessary to check the crimping depth. The go / n o-
go gauge 09 99 000 0889 can be used to check the crimp
tool.
The four-indent crimp tool may only be used when it is
in proper technical condition. It may only be operated in
a proper and safe manner. The manufacturer is preclu-
ded from liability for damages that result from unautho-
rized alterations or improper use of this tool.
