ken parts of the hovercraft) are excluded from the guarantee and warranty.
Dear Customer, the following safety instructions are intended not only for the pro-
tection of the product, but also for your own safety and the safety of other persons.
Therefore, please read this chapter very carefully before using the product for the
first time!
a) General
Attention, important note!
Even if the model craft is very small, its operation can still lead to material damage
and personal injuries. Therefore, it is imperative that you are sufficiently insured for
the operation of the hovercraft, e.g., with a liability insurance policy. If you already
have liability insurance, find out from your insurance company, whether the opera-
tion of the hovercraft is covered before using it.
• The product is intended for children of 0 - 3 years of age in view of the risk of
suffocation caused by swallowed small parts; there is also a risk of injury. The
recommended age is 8 and above.
• Wherever children play with this product, they must be supervised responsibly
by an adult. Do not take any risks when operating the product! Your own safety
and that of your surroundings depend on your responsible handling of the model.
• Do not leave the packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could be-
come a dangerous plaything for children.
• Should any questions arise that are not answered with the help of these operating
instructions, please contact us or another expert.
b) USB charging cable
• The USB charging cable is only suitable for loading the rechargeable LiPo batter-
ies integrated in the product. Never charge other types of rechargeable batteries
or non-rechargeable batteries. There is a great risk of fire or explosion!
• Charging the integrated batteries via the USB included in the delivery must be
carried out by an adult.
• Never leave the rechargeable battery charging unattended.
c) Operation
• Do not put your hand into the drive mechanism, do not block the propeller. Al-
though the motors have relatively little power the propeller blades could cause
injury.
• Improper operation can cause serious damage to people and property! Only oper-
ate the model hovercraft as long as you are in a position to see it.
• Please note that this model hovercraft must not be operated on public roads, in
public squares or on public paths. Also, do not operate it on private property with-
out permission from the owner.
• Never drive it towards animals or people!
• Avoid using it at very low outdoor temperatures. This causes plastic parts to lose
elasticity, which in itself can turn light accidents into major injuries.
• Do not operate in the rain, through wet grass, water, mud or snow. The model is
not waterproof or watertight. Moisture not only causes corrosion; it damages the
electronics.
• Whenever the model hovercraft is in operation, always leave the transmitter
switched on.
• When it is no longer in operation, always switch off first the model hovercraft then
the transmitter.
• If batteries in the transmitter are weak, the range decreases. In this case, replace
the batteries with new ones.
• When the drive battery in the model hovercraft craft is weak, the hovercraft gets
slower or no longer responds correctly to the radio controller. This is because the
drive battery in the hovercraft serves not only the voltage and power supply to the
motors but also to the receiver.
Notes on batteries and rechargeable batteries
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; they could be swal-
lowed by children or pets. In such a case, call a doctor immediately!
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must never be short-circuited, taken apart or
thrown into fire. There is a danger of explosion!
• If the device is not used for a longer period of time (e.g., storage), take the inserted
batteries or rechargeable batteries out of the transmitter to avoid damage from
leaking batteries/rechargeable batteries.
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries that come in contact with the
skin can cause chemical burns, therefore use suitable protective gloves.
• Liquids leaking from batteries/rechargeable batteries are very chemically aggres-
sive. Objects or surfaces coming into contact with these liquids may be severely
damaged. Therefore, keep batteries/rechargeable batteries in a suitable location.
• Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of fire and ex-
plosion! Only charge rechargeable batteries which are intended for this purpose;
use suitable rechargeable battery chargers.
• Please always observe correct polarity (positive/+ and negative/-) when inserting
batteries. Never mix disposable batteries with rechargeable batteries.
