Temperature shutdown:
The chemical reaction in the battery causes its temperature to rise. If a set temperature limit is reached, the charger automatically interrupts
the current process. This function can only be used with an external temperature sensor, which is not included in the delivery.
Time limitation:
In addition, you can set the maximum process time to avoid damage to the battery in the event of possible incorrect operation.
Input voltage shutdown:
To protect the battery from over-discharge when using the charger on a car battery, the input voltage will be displayed live during the process.
If this falls below the limit you have chosen, the current process will be aborted automatically.
Cycle Charging/Discharging
For refreshing and maintaining especially NiCd and NiMH cells, a cycle charging process is available. When / after prolonged storage can thus
simulate a use of the battery and maintain this at a low charging current. For lithium batteries, this feature is not required.
Power supply function
To operate other electrical consumers (e.g., electric blankets), a power supply function is available. The charger produces in the program item
Digital Power an output voltage between 3.0V and 24.0V DC. The electricity is also limited.

6. Basic Settings

Delta Peak Sensitivity
The heading „NimH / NiCd Sensitivity'' shows the automatic charge end voltage
of NiMh and NiCd batteries. The possible settings range from 5 to 20 mV per cell. For normal batteries, a value of 5-6mV / cell is recommen-
ded, but please note that a too high setting can lead to overcharging; on the other hand, if the value is too low, it can lead to premature
shutdown. For older batteries which this occurs on, the value can be increased by 1-2mV / cell to fully charge them even then. The value can
be set separately for NimH batteries and NiCd batteries.

To get into the basic settings, press the Mode button until the `` User Select'' section appears. Confirm
your selection with Enter.
Important! Change these settings only if you are aware of the effects!
Battery Regeneration – „Precharge Time"
This feature can be used to resuscitate deeply discharged cells. Here, the battery is charged with a
small current over a set period of time before the actual charging process to „revive" the cells.
Attention!! This function carries risks. If the battery begins to inflate, disconnect it immediately from
the charger! An uninterrupted supervision during the process is unavoidable! There is a risk of fire!
„Wait Time" between charging cycles
Between the processes in the cycle mode the battery should be allowed a certain break, in order to
allow it to cool down and regenerate. This value can be set between one and 60 minutes. Depending
on the charging current, the highest possible value is recommended.
