The OLA-54/-55 is not suitable for
ensuring that optical power levels are
attenuated to safe values. The use of
the instrument does not change the
safety level of the radiation source.

Fiber optic systems using radiation
sources belonging to a specific laser
safety class or having a specific danger
level must not be reassigned to a lower
laser safety class or a lower danger
level as a result of the attenuation of
the OLA-54/-55.
