6. Firmly tighten all fasteners.
7. Tilt the assembly to upright position.
WARNING: The machine must be level and stable at all
times.
IMPORTANT: Assistance may be required to lower and raise
assembly.
MOUNTING THE TABLE EXTENSION (FIG. 1, 5–12)
Figure 5 shows the correct position of the triangular supports. The
supports are mounted using M8 x 20 bolts and corresponding nuts and
with D8 flat washers at the front, but not at the rear.
1. Mount the triangular supports (z) with the flat side of the support
facing the operator.
2. Mount the straight supports (aa) to the flat side of the triangular
support (z).
3. Fit the two table extensions (t) to the supports with M8 x 25 bolt,
washer and nut (fig. 6).
4. Firmly tighten all fasteners.
5. Check that the table extensions are flush with the fixed table top
and securely hand tighten the bolts.
WARNING: The table extensions and the fixed table top
MUST be flush.
6. Insert 3 dowels into the small, left fence (h1) and 3 dowels into the
larger right fence (h2) (fig. 7).
7. Align the left fence dowels with the left side holes in the fixed table
top and firmly press together (fig. 8).
8. Repeat with the right fence.
9. Align the back, left table strip (s1) with the left fence dowels and
firmly press together (fig. 9). Tighten the table clamp (ee) with
socket wrench (fig. 10).
10. Insert a M8 x 25 screw and D8 washer into the back, left table strip
and securely tighten (fig. 11, 12).
11. Repeat for back right table strip.
MOUNTING DUST SHROUD (FIG. 13, 14)
1. Fit the dust port in position back to the column base.
2. Insert 3 M8 x 16 screws and D8 washers into the dust port and
base holes.
3. Tighten all with 3 M8 nuts using 13 mm socket wrench and open
key spanner.
MOUNTING THE CABLE SUPPORT (FIG. 15, 16)
1. Remove the cross head screw (ff).
2. Mount the cable support (gg) and refit the cross head screw.
3. Remove the cable clamp (ii) located on the arm and reattach
holding the cables in place.
WARNING: Allow for the arm movement in horizontal and
vertical direction.
MOUNTING SWITCH BOX (FIG. 17)

The switch box (f) is mounted directly behind the right side of the
base. The switch box also contains the electronic brake and overload
protector.
1. From the inside of the base insert the four screws (ss) through the
base and into the four holes in the switch.
2. Tighten all fasteners.

The switch box (f) is mounted on a bracket which must be fitted to the
left-hand side leg using the fasteners on the bracket. The switch box
also contains the electronic brake, overload protector and an isolating
switch (w).
1. Fit the bracket in the holes in the left-hand side leg.
2. Tighten all fasteners.
MOUNTING THE SAW BLADE (FIG. 1, 18–25)
1. Ensure that the arm position is at 0˚ and raise the arm (m) to the
upper postion (fig. 1).

2. Tilt motor as follows:
a. Unlock the lever (cc, fig. 18)
b. Pull out the bevel latch (a4, fig. 19) , tilt the motor head (dd) as
shown for optimum access (fig. 20) and lock with the lever (cc,
fig. 21).
3. Loosen the guard screw (kk, fig. 22) and lift the guard (d) out of the
way (fig. 23).
4. Hold the flange (mm) in place with the pin wrench (hh) and turn the
blade screw (ll) clockwise using the 6 mm hex wrench (jj). Remove
the blade screw (ll), external flange (mm) and the blade (oo)
(fig. 24, 25).
5. To assemble the new blade repeat the steps in the opposite order.
6. The head is ready for cutting
WARNING: The teeth of a new blade are very sharp and
can be dangerous.
WARNING: The direction of rotation is indicated by the
arrow on the motor.
WARNING: Make sure that the washer of the arbour nut is
against the outer flange.
CHECKING THAT THE ARM IS PARALLEL TO THE TABLE TOP (FIG. 1, 26)
1. Lower the blade (oo) until it only just touches the fixed table top (e).
2. Release the mitre latch lever (j) and the mitre clamp lever (k).
3. Extend the blade forward past the fence then swing arm so that
the blade skims the table top across its width.
4. Repeat this procedure with the blade in rear position and adjust the
rear bolt if required.
CHECKING THAT THE BLADE IS PERPENDICULAR TO THE TABLE TOP
(FIG. 27–28)
1. Bring the arm back to central position.
2. Place a steel square (rr) against the blade body (fig. 27).
3. If adjustment is required, proceed as follows:
a. Remove the bevel pointer disk (tt, fig. 27) by loosening the two
screws (uu).
b. Loosen the hex screw (ww).
c. Loosen the lock nuts (v v) on either side of the bevel scale (u)
(fig. 28)
d. Using a hex wrench adjust the unlocked screws (pp) until the
blade is flat against the square.
4. Firmly tighten all fasteners.
WARNING: It is particularly important to tighten the central
hex screw.
5 Replace the bevel pointer disk (tt) (fig. 27).
CHECKING THAT THE CROSSCUT TRAVEL IS PERPENDICULAR TO THE FENCE
(FIG. 29, 30)
1. Lock the blade in front of the fence (fig. 29).
2. Place a square (rr) on a piece of board and against the fence and
just touching the blade as shown.
3. Pull the blade towards you to check that the blade traverses
parallel to the square.
4. If adjustment is required, proceed as follows:
a. Loosen the mitre latch lever (j) and release the mitre clamp lever
(k) (fig. 30).
b. Loosen the two adjustment screws (qq).
5. To adjust the arm to the left, loosen the stud on the right-hand side
of the mitre latch lever (j) and tighten the opposite stud.
6. To adjust the arm to the right, loosen the stud on the left-hand side
of the mitre latch lever (j) and tighten the opposite stud.
7. Proceed in small steps and check the adjustment after each step
with the levers (j) and (k) engaged.
WARNING: Do not overtighten the studs.
8. Tighten the adjustment screws (qq).
