Bevel lock (B1)
The bevel lock (16) is used to set the blade at
the desired bevel angle.The mitre saw bevel cuts
from 0° to 45° to the left and right.To adjust the
bevel angle loosen the bevel lock and pull out
the 0° bevel adjuster (18). Adjust the saw arm to
the desired bevel angle.
WARNING.Be sure to tighten the bevel lock (16)
before making a cut. Failure to do so could result
in the saw arm moving during the cut and cause
serious personal injury.
Bevel adjuster (B1)
The bevel adjuster (18) needs to be pulled out
before the bevel angle can be adjusted.
To return the saw arm to the vertical (0° bevel)
position move the saw arm to the left and push
in the 0° bevel adjuster (18).
Return the saw arm to the vertical position, it
will automatically stop at the 0° bevel position.
Please recheck and confirm it, if not exactly to 0º,
please adjust it and then tighten the bevel lock
(16)
Adjustments
WARNING: Disconnect plug from power
source before performing any assembly,
adjustment or repair to avoid possible injury.
NOTE: Your miter saw was completely adjusted
at the factory. However, during shipment, slight
misalignment may have occurred. Check the
following settings and adjust if necessary prior to
using this miter saw.
Checking 0° Bevel Adjustment
1. Lower head assembly and engage head
assembly release knob (6).
2. Slide head assembly completely to the back
and tighten the slide lock (29).
3. Rotate miter table (21) to 0° miter position
4. Untighten the bevel lock (16)
5. Pull out the bevel adjuster (18)
6. Adjust the saw arm to the 0° bevel angle
7. Pull in the bevel adjuster (18)
8. Use a combination square to check saw blade
(42) squareness to the table. Place the square on
the table and press it against the saw blade (42).
The saw blade must contact the full length of the
square.
9. Tighten the bevel lock (16)
Checking Right 45° Bevel Stop
1. Lower head assembly and engage head
assembly release knob (6).
2. Slide head assembly completely to the back
and tighten the slide lock (29).
3. Rotate miter table (21) to the 0° miter position.
4. Untighten the bevel lock (16)
5. Pull out the bevel adjuster (18)
6. Tilt the saw to the right until you feel the stop
in the 45° right position. This is where the saw
is currently set for the 45° right bevel cut.
7. Use a combination square to check blade at
the 45° stop. Place the combination square
head on the miter table (21) and press it's 45°
surface against the saw blade (42). If the saw
blade does not contact the full length of the
square, follow the calibrating procedure.
Calibrating Right 45° Bevel Stop
1. Untighten the bevel lock (16)
2. Pull out the bevel adjuster (18)
3. Tilt saw to 45° right bevel position.
4. Position combination square with 45° surface
against saw blade (42).
5. Rotate 45° Bevel adjustment screw (34) while
viewing blade against combination square until
it matches 45° surface.
6. Adjust bevel scale pointer to 45° line on bevel
scale (17).
Checking left 45° Bevel Stop
1. Lower head assembly and engage head
assembly release knob (6).
2. Slide head assembly completely to the back
and tighten the slide lock (29).
3. Rotate miter table (21) to the 0° miter position.
4. Untighten the bevel lock (16)
5. Pull out the bevel adjuster (18)
