This way you receive results that are as
accurate as possible:
a)
Wait at least 15 minutes after your last sip of alcohol.
Do not eat, drink or smoke during that time.
b)
Do not open the casing.
c)
Do not keep the breathalyzer in cold, hot,
moist or badly ventilated places.
d)
Keep the breathalyzer out of the reach of children.
e)
Conduct three inlet tests after long storage before conducting
the actual alcohol test.
f)
Do not drop the breathalyzer.
g)
Let the battery be exchanged if it is depleted (for this service
you can contact info@ace-instruments.net). Diminished battery
capacity leads to incorrect test results.
h)
Do not conduct tests in loud (sound waves disrupt the sensor),
drafty or poorly ventilated places.
i)
After a test result of 1.000‰ (‰ = EU standard), 0.500 mg/L
(mg/L = UK standard) or 0.100% BAC (% BAC =US standard) or
higher the sensor needs rest time. In this case wait at least three
minutes before the next test.
j)
Do not conduct tests in very cold, very hot or an unventilated,
smoky ambience.
k)
Store the breathalyzer in a way to avoid penetration by dust
or liquids.
l)
Blowing too hard may cause damage to the sensor as saliva
flows into it.

Always use a new mouthpiece for each person and test that

is conducted. ACE Instruments assumes no liability for any
damages which arise when several people use the same
mouthpiece for multiple tests.
Only use the provided single packed and hygienic
g
mouthpieces - more are available at www.ace-instruments.
net. During each test the ACE Wave Breathalyzer's internal and
external parts come into contact with human secretion (saliva,
blood, sweat, etc.)!
Use safety gloves when pulling out a mouthpiece used by
g
another person! You can buy appropriate gloves at ACE Technik
(www.ace-technik.de).
Preparation for the test (equally if you use the
breathalyzer with or without the "Alcovisor" app):
1.
Check if the rechargeable battery is loaded. If you want to load
the device so please use the Micro USB cable which is delivered
together with the device. During the loading you can see a blue
light inside the mouthpiece slot. If the loading is completed this
light will turn into green colour.
2.
Put a mouthpiece on the mouthpiece connection, which is on
the side of the device. Make sure the mouthpiece is attached
properly.
Conducting the measurement
by using the "Alcovisor" app:
1.
Download the „Alcovisor" app from the App Store (iOS) or
Google Play (Android) on your phone and open the app on your
phone.
2.
Press for about 2 seconds the middle button (on the front of
the breathalyzer) to switch on. The total number of the previously
conducted tests appear on the display of alcohol tester for about
2 seconds (this may be at a new device at up to 10 tests, if the
equipment has been tested for quality assurance before delivery).
3.
The alcohol test device will now connect via Bluetooth with the
app on your phone and in parallel the sensor of the breathalyzer
heats up.
4.
If the connection is successful, then you can see „Ready" on
top of the app and on the display of the breathalyzer you see
„Connected". In the middle of the app you see „Tap to begin" -
please tap there and you will see „Blow".
5.
Now take a deep breath and blow for about 5 seconds
constantly and without a break into the mouthpiece of the
