Installation Instructions:

Please read these installation instructions before starting work.
Important:
• If the fan is installed near a fireplace with chimney, open
flued oil or gas flued appliance care must be taken to
ensure that sufficient air can enter the room being
ventilated.
• Fans must be installed in accordance with DIN/VDE 0100
T701 (observe safety zones in rooms with baths or
showers).
• Maximum air temperature 45˚C.
Preparations
–
Remove the grille A from the fan with a coin or a
screwdriver. Lever off at sides.
The electrical shutter opens and closes with approx.
1 minute time delay.
Unscrew the casing B
plate C .
Wall or ceiling mounting

Install the duct in the wall or ceiling.

Install the external grille in accordance with DIN 31001.

Fasten the foam seal E
plate supports.

For installation of surface or buried cables, feed the
power cable through the rubber seal
the fan.

Fit the seal to the back plate. Secure the back plate to
the wall using 4 screws and insert sealing plugs into the
screw holes.
Electrical Connections
Caution:
• Ensure that all electric power is turned off before
carrying out any work.
• The electrical connections must be carried out by a
qualified electrician and must comply with the relevant
local regulations.
• For single units use 3 amp fuse when supplied from a 5
amp lighting circuit, no local fuse is required.
• The fans are double-insulated and do not require a
ground conductor.
• The mains cable (for example, HO5VV-F 3 x 0.75mm
or 4 x 0.75mm 2 ) must be round – external diameter
between 5.5 and 8.5 mm – to ensure the connection
with the cable opening is secure and properly sealed.

Please note: The rubber seal
cable before the cable is fed through the back plate.

Push cable ends as far as possible into the holes of the
connector block and screw tightly.
ž Bend safety cover towards the insulation.

Push the connector block into the back plate and screw
into place. Fasten the strain relief clamp to the cable.
• Fasten the casing to the back plate using the 4 screws.
• Replace the grille.
Cleaning and Servicing the Fan
• Remove the grille from the fan with a coin or a

screwdriver. Lever off at sides.
• Unscrew the casing and remove from the back plate.
• Use a soft brush or damp cloth to clean the fan.
Never immerse the fan in water!
Important!
Never clean inside the casing without first removing the fan
from the back plate and disconnecting the power supply.
