1. Make sure you have read the safety instructions before cleaning.
2. Unplug the appliance from the mains socket.
3. Use a slightly dampened cloth and, if necessary, a mild cleaning agent for cleaning the appliance.
4. Make sure that no water enters the casing of the base (6). Never immerse the appliance or the base (6) in water or
other liquids while cleaning, or while the appliance is in use. Never hold the base (6) under running water.
5. The base (6) must always be kept clean and dry.
6. Dry all parts thoroughly before using the appliance again or storing it away.
7. Store the appliance and all its accessories in a location away from dust, moisture and direct sunlight. Store the
appliance out of the reach of children.
8.
Allow the appliance to cool down completely before storing it.
9. Wind the power cable around the cable winder (7) beneath the base (6).
Descaling
Limescale that builds up inside the appliance can cause a loss of energy and reduce the length of life of the appliance.
Descale the appliance as soon as you notice the build-up of limescale. Use a food-grade descaler (e.g. coffee
machine descaler) , available from kitchen supply stores. Descale the appliance according to the instructions on the
descaler. Rinse the appliance thoroughly with clean water after descaling.

Disposal of electrical appliance
This appliance is subject to European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment
(WEEE) which states that used household electrical equipment is not to be disposed of as unsorted
municipal waste.
