22. Only plug the appliance into a compliant mains socket.
23. Plug the mains plug into an easily accessible mains socket so
that you can quickly disconnect the appliance from the mains
supply in the event of an emergency. Unplug the mains plug from
the mains socket in the event of an emergency. Never use an
extension cable.
24. If the mains cable is damaged or severed, do not touch the
mains cable. Unplug the appliance immediately. Damaged or
entangled mains cables increase the risk of electric shock.
25. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Please contact an authorised
specialist or customer services to replace a damaged plug or
cable, in order to prevent danger.
26. Do not use the mains cable for any other purpose, for
example, to carry or hang up the appliance or to pull the plug out
of the mains socket. Do not wind the cable around the appliance.
Keep the mains cable away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
Ensure that the mains cable is not squashed, pulled tightly, bent
or chafed.
27. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Make sure that that the power
cable never gets wet or damp when the kettle is in use. Take care
not to squash the cable or damage it in any other way.
28. Arrange the mains cable so that it is not possible for anyone
to unintentionally pull or trip over the mains cable.
29. This appliance should not be operated with an external timer
or a special remote control system.
30. RISK OF INJURY! Disconnect the appliance from the mains
circuit before cleaning the appliance, when not in use or left
unsupervised, during a thunderstorm, if the appliance has a
malfunction or defect, or if there is a risk of danger due to the
power supply, because the appliance will still receive electric
power until the plug is removed from the socket.
