Using for the first time
Please Note:
Always make sure that the ON/OFF switch is in the "0" position when the appliance is unplugged and the kettle is

on the base. This prevents the appliance from heating without supervision when the plug is plugged into the socket.
Hold the kettle upright when filling, to ensure that the water gauge can be read correctly.

Unwind the power cable from the cable winder (7) and pass the cable through the slot on the side of the base (6).

Remove the appliance from the base (6) to fill it.

Unscrew the lid (3) by turning it in an anticlockwise direction.

Fill the appliance above the MIN mark (0.5 l), to prevent overheating, making sure that the level of the water does

not exceed the MAX (1.5 l) mark, to prevent boiling water from spurting out.
Close the lid (3) by placing it on top of the appliance and turning it in a clockwise direction.

Place the appliance on the base (6) so that it stands firmly.

Plug the mains plug into an appropriate mains socket. Check that the mains voltage and the type of electrical

current matches the information provided on the type plate on the appliance before connecting it to the mains power
supply.
Push the ON/OFF switch (5) until it clicks into the "I" position.

RISK OF INJURY! For your safety, you should never open the lid (3)
when the water is boiling or very hot, due to the risk of scalding.
The indicator lamp (8) turns red to show that the appliance is heating.

As soon as the water boils, the appliance switches off automatically, the ON/OFF switch (5) lifts up and the

indicator lamp (8) goes out.
Please Note:
This appliance is equipped with an overheating prevention system. If the appliance is accidentally switched on and
-
there is no water in the kettle, it automatically switches itself off. In the event of this happening, let the appliance
cool down before using it again.
Make sure that the ON/OFF switch is not blocked, otherwise the appliance cannot switch itself off automatically
-
and will overheat.
Open the spout (1) by pressing the release button (2)

Pour the water carefully into the desired receptacle.

Please Note:
To keep the water warm for as long as possible, keep the spout (1) closed.

CLEANING, CARE AND STORAGE

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Before cleaning the appliance, always
unplug it from the mains electricity supply. Never submerge the
appliance in water or other liquids. If liquids remain in the live parts of
the appliance, this could present a risk of death through electric shock.
RISK OF INJURY! Before cleaning, make sure that there is no hot water
left in the appliance. Hot contents could cause scalding.
ATTENTION! Never use alcohol, acetone, benzene or any other
aggressive cleaning agents to clean the plastic components. Do not
use hard brushes or metal objects.
Risk of damage to appliance! No part of the appliance may be cleaned
in the dishwasher. Washing in the dishwasher will damage the
appliance.
