10. Commissioning

Only take the device into operation after familiarising yourself with its functions and these
operating instructions. Check again that all connections are correct.
a) Switching the Mixer On/Off
Non-observance of the order described in below when switching the mixer on or off can dama-
ge the speakers or the amplifier.
Switching on
• Make sure that all channel faders (4) are set to minimum volume (faders pulled right back to the lowest
point).
• First switch on the playback devices connected to the mixer.
• Turn on the mixer with the POWER switch (13).
• Switch on the connected amplifier. The mixer is ready for operation.
Switching Off
• To switch off the mixer, first slide all channel faders (4) on the mixer all the way down and then set the
volume at the amplifier to a minimum.
• Switch off the amplifier.
• Then switch off the mixer with the POWER switch (13) and then the playback devices (record player, CD
player, etc.).
• If you do not need the mixer for an extended period, remove the mains adapter from the socket.
b) Level Indicator
The recording level indicator (12) provides information about the output level.
The level on the level indicator should not exceed the yellow range permanently if possible or
else distortion of the music signal can occur. A short flashing or deflection into the red area in the
case of signal peaks is harmless, however.
