12. Troubleshooting

With this DJ mixer, you purchased a product built to the state of the art and operationally safe. Neverthe-
less, problems or errors may occur.
Therefore, we would like to describe how to eliminate possible errors here:
Always observe the safety information!
Device does not work after the POWER switch (13) was switched on:
• The mains adapter is not plugged into the socket correctly > plug in mains adapter correctly
• The mains socket is not supplied with current > check mains socket
The mixer is turned on but no sound can be heard:
• No input signal > Check source of signal
• Input level is set incorrectly > Set level with the respective channel fader and gain controller as descri-
bed
No signal can be heard although the level indicator (12) indicates a signal:
• Downstream device (amplifier) not switched on or set incorrectly > check downstream device, select
correct input at amplifier, increase volume
• Mixer output is not or incorrectly connected > Connect output as described above
A humming sound can be heard:
• The record-player ground lines are not connected to terminal clamp GND (19) > connect the record
player ground cables to the terminal clamp GND (19)
• A buzz loop arises between the connected devices > connect signal earth by special isolated cables
One channel does not work:
• A connection cable has come loose > Check connections between the devices
• The balance control on the amplifier is out of adjustment > adjust balance control at the amplifier
The sound is distorted:
• The volume control is incorrectly set or the connected amplifier is overmodulated > set volume as descri-
bed
• The connected device does not adhere to the required specifications for a cinch connection or does not
have the appropriate connections > use a device with a suitable connection
• Channel fader (4) or GAIN controller (1) incorrectly set, mixer is overmodulated > set volume as descri-
bed
Repairs other than those described above must only be carried out by an authorised specialist.
