9. Connection

Before connecting, disconnect the mixer and all other devices that are to be connected to the
mixer from the mains voltage.
For connecting the cinch inputs and outputs, use only shielded cinch cables suitable for this
purpose. Only use suitable microphone cables for connecting the microphone inputs. Use of any
wrong cables may cause interferences.
To avoid distortion or mismatching that may damage the mixer, only playback devices with a
cinch output must be connected to the mixer's cinch inputs. Only devices with the matching
connections must be connected to the mixer's cinch outputs.
Also observe the values stated in the „Technical Data".
The following applies for all cinch outputs:
• The white cinch socket of the mixer is the left channel connection.
• The red cinch socket of the mixer is the right channel connection.
Inputs CH-1 and CH-2 (17 and 18)
There are two stereo cinch inputs available to which you can connect your playback devices, e.g. radio,
CD player, MP3 player, record player, etc.
These inputs are variable inputs which can be influenced by their respective switches LINE/PHONO (20).
Depending on switch position, these inputs are suitable for connection to a phono device or a CD player
(or similar line device).
Position LINE:
Position PHONO:
Before connecting, check the position of the respective switch LINE/PHONO (20). Put the switch
in the correct position. Always switch off the switch POWER (13) before switching the mixer.
USB connection (15)
Connect a USB interface of your computer to the connection USB (15).
Output OUTPUT (16)
Connect the OUTPUT (16) output to a free cinch input of your amplifier (e.g. AUX).
MIC microphone input (9)
Dynamic microphones or condenser microphones with their own power supply and 6.3 mm jacks can be
connected to this socket.
