c) Volume Control
• Control the volume to a medium volume with the amplifier connected.
• Turn or slide the controller GAIN (1) and the channel faders (4) to the minimum.
• Start a connected playback device, e.g. a CD player. If there is a volume control in this device, set approx.
75% of the maximum volume here.
• Push the corresponding channel fader (4) all the way to the top.
• You can now set the signal level with the GAIN controller (2). Turn the GAIN controller (2) clockwise until
playback is slightly distorted. Then turn the controller back a little.
• Now set the desired maximum volume with the volume control on the amplifier. No distortion must arise
here.
• With the controllers BASS and TREBLE (2), you can change the playback sound.
• Repeat the setting for the other mixer channel. Both channels should have about the same volume, so
that no high volume differences occur when fading over between the channels and you do not have to
re-adjust the volume because of them.
Make sure that the connected speakers and the amplifier are not overloaded. Playback must
never be distorted.
If there are any distorted music signals even though the volume on the amplifier is not set too
high and the mixer has been set correctly, switch off the mixer immediately and check the
connection. If the connection is correct, please contact a specialist.
d) Using Headphones
Turn the CUE VOLUME controller (6) to its left stop (MIN position) before plugging in, unplugging
or putting on the headphones or switching the mixer on or off. There is a danger of damage to
your hearing from excessive volume at the headphones output.
• Use the CUE VOLUME controller (6) to control the headphones' playback volume.
• You can use the CUE1/CUE2 controller (3) to determine the channel put on the headphones' output. In the
centre position, both channels are played back via the headphones.

e) Crossfading/Mixing

• You can use the crossfader (8) to cross-fade/mix the signals of the two mixer channels.
• One channel is faded out when the crossfader (8) is operated (volume decreases), while the other is
faded in at the same time (volume increases).
When the crossfader is in centre position, both fader channels are played equally.
