FROSTMATIC
The FROSTMATIC function accelerates the freezing of fresh food and, at the
same time, protects foodstuffs already stored from undesirable warming.
1. The FROSTMATIC function is switched on by pressing the FROSTMATIC but-
ton. The yellow light illuminates.
If the FROSTMATIC function is not ended manually, the appliance switch off
the FROSTMATIC function after 48 hours. The yellow light goes out.
2. The FROSTMATIC function can be ended manually at any time by pressing
the FROSTMATIC button again. The yellow light goes out.
Alarm reset button
In the event of an abnormal temperature rise inside the freezer (e.g. power
cut) warning light (O) will start to flash and a buzzer will sound.
After the temperature has returned to normal, the warning light (O) will
continue to flash, although the buzzer has stopped.
When the alarm button is pressed, the warmest temperature reached in the
compartment flashes on the indicator.

Switching the Appliance off

To switch off, hold down the ON/OFF button for approx. 5 seconds. This will
result in a countdown from "3" to "1" taking place in the temperature
display. On reaching "1" the fridge will switch off. The temperature display
will go off.
Note:
The appliance cannot be switched on or off if unplugged, or if there is no
power being supplied to it. Following connection to the mains power sup-
ply, the appliance returns to the same operating state as before the inter-
ruption of main power.
If the appliance is not going to be used for an extended period:
1. Switch off the appliance, holding down the ON/OFF button until the display
goes off (see above).
2. Remove the mains plug or switch off or turn out the circuit breaker or fuse.
3. Defrost the freezer compartment and clean the appliance thoroughly (see
section: "Cleaning and Maintenance").
4. Finally, leave the doors open so as to avoid a build up of odours.

Die Anzeige wechselt von Blinken zu kontinuierlichem Leuchten.
Der Kompressor startet und läuft dann automatisch.
Hinweis: Bei Anderung der Einstellung läuft der Kompressor nicht sofort an,
wenn gerade automatisch abgetaut wird.
Da die Lagertemperatur im Kühlraum schnell erreicht wird, können Sie glei-
ch nach dem Einschalten Kühlgut einlagern.
COOLMATIC-Taste
Die COOLMATIC-Funktion eignet sich zum schnellen Abkühlen größerer
Kühlgutmengen im Kühlraum, z. B. Getränke, Salate anläßlich einer Party.
1. Durch Drücken der Taste COOLMATIC wird die COOLMATIC-Funktion einge-
schaltet. Die gelbe Anzeige leuchtet.
Die COOLMATIC-Funktion sorgt jetzt für intensives Kühlen. Dabei wird
automatisch eine SOLL-Temperatur von +2°C vorgegeben. Nach Ablauf von
6 Stunden wird die COOLMATIC-Funktion selbsttätig beendet. Die ursprün-
glich eingestellte SOLL-Temperatur ist dann wieder maßgebend. und die
Temperaturanzeige zeigt die momentane Kühlraumtemperatur.
2. Durch erneutes Drücken der Taste COOLMATIC kann die COOLMATIC-Funk-
tion jederzeit manuell beendet werden. Die gelbe Anzeige erlischt.

Urlaubsschaltung

Bei der Urlaubsschaltung beträgt die Temperaturvorgabe für den Kühlraum
+15 °C. Sie haben dadurch die Möglichkeit – ohne daß es zu einer Geruchs-
oder Schimmelbildung kommt – bei längerer Abwesenheit (z.B. Urlaub) den
leeren Kühlraum statt offen auch geschlossen zu halten. Vorteil: Unbeabsi-
chtigtes Zufallen der Tür bzw. versehentliches Zudrücken der Tür durch Per-
sonen, die während Ihrer Abwesenheit Zutritt zu Ihren Wohnräumen haben,
ist nicht mehr möglich. Ohne die Urlaubsschaltung würde dies Geruchs-
und Schimmelbildung zur Folge haben.
