Description
The SCPI standard differs two different status register: an
Event Register and a Condition Register. The Condition Re-
gister query the actual state of the instrument. If you want to
query the constant voltage or current mode, you have to use
the Condition Register.
The Event Status Register is set (1), until it is queried. This part
can be only read by the user. After reading (query) the
Event Status Register is set to zero.
The Condition register delivers a „1" (first bit set)
in constant current mode (CC) and a „2" (second
bit set) in constant voltage mode (CV).
Example: stat:ques:inst:isum1:cond?
If the correct channel is selected and the red LED of the chan-
nel button lights up (CC mode), then the query of the condition
register has to be deliver a „1". To rule out an error in the
communication, the channel can again be changed before the
query (INST OUT). To exclude a communication error, you can
change the channel before the query (INST OUT).
The description of registers is only used for general
explanation. Due to the complexity, we recommend
the general accessible SCPI standard document for
more detailed information.

chapter 6.6.
Local operating mode (front panel control)
Remote control (front panel control locked); by pushing the
REMOTE button the front panel control will be activated.
The front panel control is locked; with the :LOCal command
the front panel control will be activated.
Mixed mode = front and remote control are
simultaneously possible
Query of the error list
After reading of an error it will be erased from the register. The
next query will read the next error provided there was more
than one.
