8. Release the base screw (9) on the front corner (for devices
up to year of manufacture 04/93, the securing screw for the
heat sensor screening pla te (10). Insert the cable eyelet (11)
for the earth connection, and screw the base screw back in.
9. Lay the connection cables (8) to the automatic ignitor (12)
in such a way that the cables do not come in contact with
the heat exchanger or the exhaust gas pipe. Use the securing
points provided for in the baseplate.
10. Connect the ignition cables (1) and connection cable (8) to
the automatic ignitor (12).
11. Press the blind cover out of the cladding from the inside.
12. Up to year of manufacture 05/96: A 9 mm diameter
hole must be drilled into the existing dummy cover. Press the
pre-fitted remote ignition display into the cladding from above.
From year of manufacture 05/96: Push remote ignition in-
dicator for S 3002 heater into small cover from above.
13. Use adhesive to attach two self-adhering cable securing
elements as illustrated in the lower inside area of the heating
cladding, and secure the cable.
14. Use adhesive to attach another cable securing element to
the base.
15. Plug the adapter cable onto the automatic ignition device
from the rear (no need to pay particular attention to polarity).
16. Slide automatic ignition into mounting in base plate and
clamp cable in cable mounting in such a way that strain relief
is provided.
17. Connect the adapter cable to the connection cable for the
remote ignition display.
