Inserting the battery
1. Push the battery (10) along the guide into
the battery holder (12).
You will hear the battery click into place.
Removing the battery
1. Press and hold the battery release (11) on
the battery (10).
2. Pull the battery out of the battery holder
(12).

Switching on and off

WARNING! Risk of injury due to unin-
tentional continuous operation of the tool.
Before inserting the batteries into the tool,
check that the on/off switch (6) works prop-
erly and returns to the off position when re-
leased.
Switching on
1. Insert the battery (10) into the tool.
2. Select the direction of rotation with the
rotation direction switch (5).
3. Press and hold the On/off switch (6).
The LED work light (14) lights up.
Switching off
1. To turn it off, release the on/off switch (6).
The LED work light goes out.
2. Wait until the power tool has stopped be-
fore placing it down.
3. When taking a break: Set the direction of
rotation switch (5) to the centre. These
safety measures prevent accidentally
starting the power tool.
4. Remove the rechargeable battery (10)
from the device if you are leaving the
device unattended or if you have finished
working.

Transport

Notes
• Turn off the device.
• Make sure that all moving parts have
come to a complete stop.
• Remove the rechargeable battery.
• Remove the attachment tool.
• Always carry the device by the handle (7).

Cleaning, maintenance and

storage

WARNING! Risk of injury due to unin-
tentional start-up. Protect yourself when
performing maintenance or cleaning work.
Switch off the device and remove the battery
(10).
You should have any repair and maintenance
work that is not described in these instruc-
tions carried out by our Service Centre. Only
use original replacement parts.

Cleaning

WARNING! Electric shock! Never spray
down the device with water.
NOTICE! Risk of damage. Chemical sub-
stances may attack the plastic parts of the
machine. Do not use any cleaning agents or
solvents.
• Keep the ventilation slits, motor housing
and handles of the machine clean. Use a
damp cloth or brush to do this.
• Clean the SDS-Plus tool holder (1). To do
this, pull the locking sleeve (3) backwards
and remove the dust cap (2) towards the
front.

Maintenance and repair

• Check the device before each use for
obvious defects such as loose, worn or
damaged parts.
• Regularly clean the insertion end of the
SDS attachment tool slightly with the
grease (21) included in the scope of deliv-
ery (0.5–1 g). Greasing of the SDS attach-
ment tool should be repeated when there
is hardly any grease left on the shaft.
NOTICE! Lubrication of the tool holder
ensures smooth operation and a longer
service life.
Storage
Always store the device and accessories:
• clean
• dry
• protected against dust
• In the case provided (22)
• out of the reach of children
Devices with battery:
• The storage temperature for the bat-
tery and device is between 0 °C and
45 °C. Avoid extreme cold or heat during
