Adjusting Standard Mitre Angles (see figure I1)
For quick and precise adjustment of commonly used mitre an-
gles, detents 25 have been provided for on the saw table:
Left
15°; 22.5°;
31.6°; 45°
– Loosen the locking knob 21 in case it is tightened.
– Pull lever 22 and rotate the saw table 18 left or right to the
requested detent.
– Release the lever again. The lever must be felt to engage in
the detent.
– Tighten the locking knob 21 again.
Adjusting Any Mitre Angle (see figure I2)
The mitre angle can be set in the range from 52° (left side) to
60° (right side).
– Loosen the locking knob 21 in case it is tightened.
– Pull lever 22 and at the same time push the locking bracket
20 until it engages in the groove intended for this. The saw
table can be moved freely now.
– Turn the saw table 18 left or right by the locking knob until
the angle indicator 24 indicates the requested mitre angle.
– Tighten the locking knob 21 again.
– To loosen the lever 22 again (for adjusting standard mitre
angles), pull the lever upward.
The locking bracket 20 snaps back to its original position
and lever 22 can re-engage into the detents 25.
Adjusting Bevel Angles
To ensure precise cuts, the basic adjustment of the machine
must be checked and adjusted as necessary after intensive
use (see "Checking and Adjusting the Basic Adjustment",
page 39).
The vertical bevel angle can be adjusted in a range from 47°
(leftward) to 47° (rightward).
For quick and precise setting of frequently used bevel angles,
stops have been provided for the angles 0°, 47°, 45°, 33.9°
and 22.5°.
 With vertical mitre cuts and the use of the SDS bolt 30,
you need to ensure that the SDS bolt can never come in-
to contact with the workpiece surface before sawing.
This is done by setting an appropriate depth stop (see
"Adjusting the Depth Stop", page 38). This prevents,
that the SDS bolt and / or the workpiece may be damaged.
Adjusting the Left-hand Bevel Angle Range
(see figure J1)
– Pull the left-hand adjustable fence 2 completely outward
(see "Moving the Fence", page 35).
– Loosen clamping lever 7.
– Tilt the tool arm leftward via handle 12 until the angle indi-
cator 41 indicates the desired bevel angle.
– Tighten clamping lever 7 again.

Adjusting the Complete Bevel Angle Range
(see figure J2)
– Swing the stop 42 completely outward.
This enables you to use the complete bevel angle range
Right
(left and right).
– Pull the right-hand adjustable fence 2 completely outward
or remove it completely (see "Moving the Fence",
15°; 22.5°;
page 35).
31.6°; 45°; 60°
If you want to use the complete bevel angle range, you also
have to pull the left-hand adjustable fence 2 completely
outward or remove it completely.
– Loosen clamping lever 7.
– Tilt the tool arm via handle 12 to the left or right until angle
indicator 41 or 5 indicate the desired bevel angle.
– Tighten clamping lever 7 again.
Adjusting Standard Bevel Angles (see figure J3)
– Loosen clamping lever 7.
– Standard 0° Bevel Angle :
Swing the tool arm by the handle 12 slightly to the left and
swing the stop 42 completely inward.
– Standard bevel angles 47°, 45°, 33.9° and 22.5°:
Turn the left-hand or right-hand stop 3 until the required
standard bevel angle engages at the arrow mark.
– Tighten clamping lever 7 again.

Starting Operation

 Observe the mains voltage! The voltage of the power
source must correspond with the data on the type plate of
the machine.
Switching On (see figure K)
To save energy, only switch the power tool on when using it.
– To start the machine, press the On/Off switch 31 and keep
it pressed.
Note: For safety reasons, the On/Off switch 31 cannot be
locked; it must remain pressed during the entire operation.
The tool arm can be guided down only after pushing the lock-
ing lever 13.
– For sawing, the locking switch 13 must therefore be
pushed in addition to pressing the On/Off switch 31.
Switching Off
– To switch off the machine, release the On/Off switch 31.
Reduced starting current
The electronic reduced starting current limits the power con-
sumption when switching the tool on and enables operation
from a 13 ampere fuse.
Note: When the machine runs at full speed immediately after
switching on, the reduced starting current has failed. The
power tool should be sent immediately to an after-sales ser-
vice (for addresses, see section "After-sales Service and Ap-
plication Service", page 40).
