Connecting up

Electric shock risk if device not grounded
Operating this device from an AC line outlet without a ground connection can lead
to a potentially fatal electric shock.
► Use only the AC line cord supplied with the device.
► Do not use the AC line cord if it is damaged.
► Do not connect the device to any AC power outlet that is not equipped with a protective
ground.
Inaccessible AC line switch
The device must be disconnected from the AC line by means of the AC power
switch in an emergency.
► Make sure that you set up the device so that the AC power switch is easily accessible
at all times.
To connect up the device:
► Connect the device to the network using the Ethernet connection (Figure 1: 7).
or
Connect the device to a PC using the USB connection (Figure 1: 1).
► Connect the AC power input on the device (Figure 1: 6) to the AC power supply using the
AC power cord supplied with the device.
