Dear Customer,
thank you for purchasing this HEIDEMANN HX
transmitter and a receiver. No wiring is required for the installation of these two units. The statut-
ory warranty period applies. This warranty excludes defects caused by improper handling, use
contrary to its intended purpose, or failure to follow the operating and installation instructions.
General Information
When the wireless doorbell is pressed, a signal is sent to the wireless chime, which is then activated. The
selected melody sounds. Due to the maximum range of approximately 300 meters (in open areas), you
can take the wireless doorbell anywhere (e.g., garden, garage, basement, etc.). The range is limited by
obstacles (walls, metal, etc.).

Wireless Doorbell – Battery Installation
The wireless doorbell is powered by a 3-volt CR2032 lithium battery, which is included and already instal-
led. Simply remove the protective film protruding from the wireless doorbell to establish electrical contact.
To replace the battery, turn the battery cover of the wireless doorbell counterclockwise. A coin or similar
flat object works well for this. Remove the old battery and insert a new CR2032 battery, ensuring correct
polarity (+ = on top). Then, replace the cover and turn it clockwise until securely closed. The wireless
doorbell is now ready for use.
Wireless Chime - Battery Installation
Slide the battery compartment cover on the back downwards and insert the batteries (not included): 4 x
1.5V LR6 / AA. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the batteries! Slide the battery compartment cover
of the wireless chime back into place. The wireless chime is now ready for use.
Wireless Doorbell – Mounting
You can use the holes on the wireless doorbell's mounting plate as a template to mark the drill holes. The
appropriate wall plugs and screws are included. Alternatively, the wireless doorbell can also be mounted
using the adhesive base, which is also included (for suitable surfaces only). Important: Mounting the
wireless doorbell on plasticizer-free PVC door frames or metal surfaces will reduce the range! A writable
nameplate is located under a transparent protective cap on the front.
Wireless Chime – Mounting
The wireless chime has a mounting hole on the back. This allows the device to be hung on a screw or easily
moved to another room. The mounting hardware (wall plug and screw) is included. When mounting, ensure a
gap of approximately 3 mm between the wall and the wireless chime so that the device can be hung loosely.

Melody Selection
The melody selector is located on the wireless doorbell. Pressing the selector changes the melody.
Wireless Chime Settings
Pressing the wireless doorbell sends a signal to the wireless chime. To repeat the ring, press the wireless
doorbell again. The ring will only sound once, even if you hold the button down.

Volume Control
Adjust the volume up to approximately 90 dB(A) using the push buttons (+/-).

Using the Mute Switch
A mute switch is located on the side of the wireless chime. When you set the switch to OFF, the chime will
not sound, even if batteries are inserted and the wireless doorbell is pressed.
LED Function Indicator
An LED function indicator is located on the front of the wireless doorbell. This indicator illuminates when
the doorbell is pressed.
Low Battery Warning Light:
A red warning light on the front of the wireless chime illuminates every 5 seconds when the batteries are
noticeably low. In this case, replace the batteries in the wireless chime.

Frequency Setting, Battery Replacement, Adding Wireless Doorbells and Chimes
All products in the HEIDEMANN HX series are compatible and expandable. They feature a self-lear-
®
ning function for easy channel setting. When purchasing additional components (see also the „Further
Connection Options" section at the end of the instructions) to expand the system, look for the logo shown
on the left. A maximum of 8 wireless transmitters can be paired with one wireless chime. All HX
doorbells are considered wireless transmitters.
Initial Setup
After inserting the batteries into the wireless doorbell and chime, press the doorbell button once. It will
automatically tune to a frequency and transmit it to the chime, which will then sound. After two minutes,
the chime will no longer be able to store any additional wireless doorbells, thus preventing interference
with other devices in the vicinity.
