rationality. Do not use the device when you are tired or
under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medicaments. One
moment of carelessness when using the device can result in
serious injuries.
Wear suitable work clothes:
− do not wear loose-fitting clothes or jewellery; they can
catch in moving parts.
− slip-proof shoes
− wear a hair-net if your hair is long
Wear protective clothing:
− ear protection (Sound intensity level at workplace can
exceed 85 dB (A))
− safety goggles
− gloves
− Dust protection mask when carrying out works that
produce a lot of dust
Keep your workplace in an orderly condition! Untidiness
can result in accidents.
Take into consideration environmental influences:
− Do not use the device in moist or wet ambience.
− Do not expose the radial tile cutter to rain.
− Provide for good illumination.
Never leave the machine unattended.
Children and youngsters less than 18 years of age and
people who have not read the operating manual must not
operate the machine.
Keep other persons away.
Do not allow other persons, especially children, to touch
the tool or cable.
Keep them away from your working area.
Do not overload the machine! You work better and safer in
the given performance range.
Do not advance the tile in the machine faster than it can be
cut by the cutting disk.
Only operate the machine with complete and correctly
attached safety equipment and do not alter anything on the
machine that could impair the safety.
Do not use any cutting-off wheels which do not correspond
to the indicated characteristics of this instruction manual.
Do not use any cutting-off wheels which have a maximum
rotational frequency of less than 3000 revolutions per
minute.
Choose a diamond-tipped cutting disk that is suited for the
material to be cut.
Do not exceed the safe operating speed of the cutting disk.
Do not perform dry cuts using cutting disks that are
designed for wet cutting.
Do not use the cutting disk for grinding work, e.g. to grind
the edge of a cut tile. Do not perform radius or round cuts.
Pay attention to that the water pump is covered with water.
The use of other tools and other accessories can
signify a risk of injury for you.
Do not touch electrical components of the machine (e.g.
switch) by wet hands.
Make sure that all plug-type connections are in a dry place
and do not rest on the ground.
Switch the machine off and remove the mains plug from
the socket when
− carrying out repair works
− maintenance and cleaning
− Elimination of failures (that includes also freeing a
blocked cutting-off wheel)
− transport and storage
− Leaving the radial tile cutter (also for short-term
interruptions)
Attention! Cutting-off wheel keeps running for a
moment after switching off! Do not brake the cutting-off
wheel with the hand or lateral pressure.
The cutting disk needs approx. 40 seconds to come to a
complete stop after the machine has been deenergised.
Wait until the cutting disk has come to a complete stop and
then pull the mains plug out of the socket before carrying
out any adjusting, maintenance and cleaning work.
Maintain your radial tile cutter with care:
− Keep the tools sharp and clean to be able to work better
and more safely.
− Follow the servicing instructions and the information
about changing tools.

Check the machine for possible damage:
− Before continuing to use the machine, the protective
devices must be inspected to ensure that they work
perfectly and with their intended function
− Check whether the movable parts function perfectly
and do not stick or whether the parts are damaged, All
parts must be correctly installed and fulfil all conditions
to ensure perfect operation of the saw
− Damaged guards and parts must be properly repaired
or exchanged by a recognized, specialist workshop;
insofar as nothing else is stated in the instructions for
use.
− Damaged or illegible safety warning labels should be
replaced immediately.
Do not allow any tool key to be plugged in!

Electrical safety

Design of the connection cable according to IEC 60 245
(H 07 RN-F) with a core cross-profile section of at least
− 1.5 mm
for cable lengths up to 25 m
2
− 2.5 mm
for cable lengths over 25 m

Long and thin connection lines result in a potential drop.
The motor does not reach any longer its maximal power; the
function of the device is reduced.
Plugs and coupler outlets on connection cables must be
made of rubber, non-rigid PVC or other thermoplastic
material of same mechanical stability or be covered with this
material.
