Electrical connection

CAPIX may only be connected to the appropriate SCU (Streaming Control Unit).
Make sure that the seal element (9) is on the cable about 15cm away from the SCU-connector (5). The
element can be moved if necessary.
The installation plan indicates which string needs to be connected to which connection on the SCU. The SCU
instructions describe the connection to the SCU.
Replacing a pixel
If a pixel is faulty it can be replaced. A pixel may be replaced a maximum of three times at the same location.
Please note: Do not touch the metal contacts. Leave the pixel in the ESD packaging until it is needed.
Otherwise the pixel may be damaged by electrostatic discharges.
Proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the power supply of the SCU.
2. Loose the screw on the faulty pixel and remove the pixel carefully. Please note: Moisture or
conductive material must not come into contact with the exposed wires.
3. Remove the replacement pixel from the ESD packaging and place it on the cable such that the
positioning pin (13) sits properly in the recess (12). The direction market (6) must point in the
direction of the end of the string (the start of the string is the SCU connection).
4. The bottom part of the pixel should now be placed on the cable and latched onto the pixel on one
side before the screw can be turned in on the opposite side.
5. The pixel must then be screwed in with a maximum torque of 0.6 Nm using a Torx size 8
screwdriver.
