Mounting instruction and user manual for CAPIX
This instruction refers to CAPIX LED Pixel-chains (Art. Nr. 42178069, 42178070, 42178071, 42178072 or
customised).

Safety information

The equipment may only be assembled and put into operation by authorized personnel. CAPIX is designed
exclusively for effect lighting and must be installed in accordance with the appropriate regulations in force in
the particular country. Any other use or any other method of installation is deemed to be "non-compliant".
The ribbon cable is a custom made product and therefore may only be replaced or repaired by the
manufacturer if it is damaged.
Unpacking
Unpack CAPIX on a clean soft surface to avoid scratching the transparent covers.
The package contains at least one connection-ready CAPIX pixel chain to which a cable connector cap nut
and seal element for insertion in the cable connector are attached. Also included are the correct number of
mounting brackets for the number of pixels, either 10mm high (CAPIX CLIP L VE200 Art. no. 22162340) or
15mm high (CAPIX CLIP H VE200 Art. no. 22162341). There may also be replacement pixels (CAPIX 1W
LED RGB VE5 Art. no. 59002921). Please check the package to make sure all items are present. If there are
any parts missing please contact the relevant sales office.
Please note: Excessive pressure or tension in the direction of the string may damage the seal and
therefore impair the function of individual pixels and must therefore be avoided. A CAPIX pixel string
must not be dragged across the floor for example.
The pixel strings are manufactured with the correct length and correct pixel spacing and have been tested.
They must not be extended or shortened. If a fault occurs, individual pixels can be replaced. See "Replacing
a pixel" below. Pixels must not be removed without replacement pixels being attached in their place.
