Operating Instructions
Rubber-powered model aircraft "Aviator"
Item no. 1558369

Intended Use

The model aircraft is an assembly kit of a free flight model. The model aircraft is equipped with
a rubber motor drive, which lifts the model to a proper height. As motor power decreases, the
model glides back to the ground. Only a little knowledge is required for assembly and operation.
The model aircraft is solely designed for private use in the model construction area and the
operating times associated with it.
The model aircraft can be operated both in large halls and outdoors, when it is not too windy.
Insignificant weight of the model makes it sensitive to wind or draft. The product must not get
damp or wet.
The product is not suitable for children under 14 years of age.
For safety and approval reasons, you may not convert and/or alter the product. If you use the
product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. Further-
more, improper use can cause risks such as property damage, injuries, etc. Please read the
operating instructions carefully and do not discard them. If you pass the product on to a third
party, please hand over these operating instructions as well.
This product complies with the applicable national and European regulations. All company

Safety Instructions

The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by non-compliance
with these safety instructions. We do not assume any liability for any resulting
damage!
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such
cases, the warranty will be null and void!
Normal wear and tear and accidents or damages caused by a crash (e.g., broken
wings or parts of the chassis) are excluded from the guarantee and warranty.
Dear customer,
These safety instructions are not only for the protection of the product, but also for
your own safety and that of other people. Therefore, please read this chapter very
carefully before using the product for the first time!
a) General
Attention, important note!
Operation of the model can cause damage to property and/or persons.
Therefore, it is imperative that you are sufficiently insured for the operation of the
model, e.g., with a liability insurance policy. If you already have liability insurance,
find out from your insurance company, whether the operation of the model is cov-
ered before using the model.
Please note: In some EU countries, you are required by law to have insurance for
all model aircraft!
Find out also about local legislation concerning aircraft model operations. For exam-
ple, in Germany, use of aircraft models of any types is subject to air traffic regula-
tions. Violation of these legal provisions may result in severe penalties and restric-
tion of the insurance coverage.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product or its components
is not allowed for safety and approval reasons.
• The product is not suitable for children under 14 years of age.
• The product must not get damp or wet.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become dangerous playing
material for children!
• Should any questions arise that are not answered with the help of these operating
instructions, please contact us or another expert.
b) Before operation
• Check the functional safety of your model on a regular basis. Pay attention to vis-
ible damages such as e.g., damaged wings.
• All movable parts of the model must run smoothly, but should not have any play
in their bearings.
• Check the correct and reliable fit of the chassis, wings and tail units.
c) During operation
• Do not take any risks when operating the model! Your own safety and that of your
surroundings depend on your responsible handling of the model.
• Improper operation can cause serious damage to people and property! Therefore,
during operation, ensure a sufficient safety distance to persons, roads, animals
and objects. Never touch the rotating propeller.
• Select an appropriate site for the operation of your model. Please also follow local
regulations concerning aircraft model operation.
• Supervise children operating the model. Children are running after it (as e.g.,
when playing a ball) focused on the action and fascinated by the object. In this
situation, a child is almost unable to recognise risks (e.g., a child is running after a
model aircraft and, possibly, onto the road).
• Fly your model only if your ability to respond is unrestricted. The influence of tired-
ness, alcohol or medicine can cause incorrect model aircraft manoeuvres.
• Do not direct your model towards animals, spectators or yourself.
• In case of a fault or a malfunction, correct the fault first, then re-start the model.
