extension, first release the QuickLock
mechanism (Fig. 1). Then, turn the
indicator until the symbol
with the pin for limiting flexion.
• Note: The points of the indicator and
the flexion pin must be exactly
opposite each other (Fig. 2).
• Now you can pull out the light grey pin
and adjust the flexion (Fig. 3). To do
this, move the flexion pin onto the
desired number of degrees (Fig. 4).
• Then push the pin towards the centre
of the joint again to secure the setting
(Fig. 5). In order to adjust the
extension, turn the indicator to the
light grey pin for limiting the extension
and proceed as you would for
adjusting the amount of flexion.
• To ensure that the angle of the
articulated joint of the brace does not
change unless desired (e.g., by being
bumped), make sure that the indicator
is at the closed symbol
(Fig. 6).
• Limitation of flexion: -10°/-120°
• Limitation of extension: -10°/-90°
Adjusting the hand support
The hand support of the brace is fixed in
a neutral position. In order to adjust the
proximal radioulnar joint, loosen the
two hexagon socket screws (Fig. 7). Now
the joint is freely mobile. Depending on
the specification, you can make the
desired adjustments to pronation/
supination by screwing the screws into
the provided positions 0-3 (1=30°;
2=60°; 3=90°).
Instructions for putting the brace on
• Open all of the hook-and-loop straps
and the shoulder strap and put on the
brace so that the articulated joint of
the brace is positioned exactly over the
lateral epicondyle (Fig. 8).
• The length of the hand support can be
adjusted using the two screws on the
lower arm splint (Fig. 9).
aligns
again
• First close the two hook-and-loop
fasteners on the straps on the lower
arm and tighten the straps (Fig. 10).
Then proceed in the same manner for
the straps on the upper arm. If
necessary, the padding along the
raised seams can be cut to size using
scissors (Fig. 11). The straps can also be
individually shortened. To do this,
unfasten the hook-and-loop fastener
at the end of the strap and shorten it
accordingly (Fig. 12).
• Lastly, place the shoulder strap over
your neck. The neck pad can be moved
to suit the individual.
• If you fasten the straps too tightly, this
can cause lymphostasis. The straps
should therefore be opened frequently.
Care instructions
Hook and loop fasteners should be
closed for washing. Fats, oils, lotions,
ointments and soap residues can affect
the material and cause skin irritations.
• Wash the paddings and straps by
hand, preferably using medi clean
washing agent.
• Do not bleach.
• Leave to dry naturally.
• Do not iron.
• Do not dry clean.
With normal use, the hinge mechanism
should not require any maintenance, but
it can be lubricated with PTFE spray.
