•
Plug the probe into the dedicated socket on the back of the Unit (D). The instrument automatically recognizes the
type of temperature probe (Pt100 or Pt1000);
•
Turn the Unit on using the main switch (C). When the external probe is connected correctly, the Probe icon (I1) is
on, showing the thermoregulation mode selected
Note: with external probe, the instrument always has primary control of the heating plate temperature. The temperature
control feature of the heating plate can also be used as a safety thermostat. In this case, the maximum temperature of the
heating plate will not exceed the temperature setting on the instrument
a longer heating time is required in order to reach the temperature setting, thus reducing temperature oscillation at a
setpoint value.

One Unit connected to the ControlPad:
•
F2 – Temperature Set Window: displays the current temperature setpoint.
The temperature setpoint can be adjusted using the "+" (P1) and "–" (P2) buttons. Keeping pressed either button will
increase the adjustment speed;
•
F1 – Real Temperature Window: displays the current temperature of the heating plate or, if connected, of the
external probe;
•
I1 – Probe Icon: lights up when the external probe is connected. When the instrument is turned on and the external
probe is connected, the icon shows "100" or "1000" depending on the type of probe (Pt100 or Pt1000), then shows
"Fine" of "Fast" depending on the selected mode
•
I2 – Heating Icon: lights up, when START was pressed, to shows that the analysis is running;
•
I3 – Hot plate Icon: lights up when the heating plate temperature exceeds 50°C;
•
F4 – Timer Set Window: displays the current set timer value.
The timer hours and minutes can be adjusted using the "+" (P3) and "–" (P6) buttons. Keeping pressed either button
will increase the adjustment speed.
•
F3 – Timer Window: displays the elapsed time (count-up) or remaining time (count-down) of the timer, depending if
the count-down timer is enabled.
•
P4 – Count-down Enable Button: activates the count-down timer (button turns blue), which starts from the set value
(F4) when the analysis begins or when the temperature setpoint is reached
Start). If the count-down timer is not enabled, the "Timer Window" (F3) displays a count-up, regardless of the set
count-down value.
