a) general
Besides the occasional battery change, the product is maintenance-free for you.
-
Maintenance or repair work may be performed only by qualified personnel or
a specialised repair shop. There are no product components which have to be
maintained. For this reason, never open it (except for inserting/changing the
batteries, as described in these operating instructions).
A clean, dry, soft cloth for cleansing purposes is sufficient.
-
Do not press too hard on the transparent cover of the clock-face as this may
cause scratch marks.
The same applies when cleaning the projector lens; also here scratch marks can
result in a blurred projection of the image.
Dust is easily removed by means of a clean, long-haired and soft brush or a
-
vacuum cleaner.
m
In no case should you use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or oth-
er chemical solutions, since these could damage (discolour) the housing or
even impair operation.
b) changing the batteries
If the projection clock is powered by batteries (and not by the power adapter pro-
-
vided), a battery replacement is required when the hands for the time no longer
travel.
If the projection clock is powered by the power adapter provided, the batteries
-
are only used as a backup in case of a power failure. In this case we recommend
replacing the batteries with new batteries periodically about every 2 years, to
avoid battery leakage due to overage.
If the projection clock is not powered by the power adapter, then a battery
-
change triggers the attempt to begin with the detection of the DCF signal, see
chapter „Getting started".

normal household waste.

Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead.
Used batteries, rechargeable batteries and coin cells can be returned to collection
points in your municipality, our stores or wherever batteries/rechargeable batteries/

You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
