10 Power supply
You can operate the printer as a wireless handheld device that operates on battery
power. You can also install the printer in a fixed location and power it permanently by
connecting it to the DC power supply.
10.1 Installing the rechargeable battery
1. Carefully insert the rechargeable battery into the battery holder in the handle of
the printer.
2. Push the rechargeable battery in until it locks in place.
3. (To remove) on either end, press the release locks and pull the rechargeable bat-
tery out.
10.2 Charging the battery
There are two ways to charge the rechargeable battery. You can charge the recharge-
able battery while it is installed in the printer or you can charge it on its own.
To charge while the rechargeable battery is installed, connect the power adapter
cable to the printer's power port.
To charge the battery on its own, connect the power adapter cable to the charger
port on the battery.
The display shows the charging status of the rechargeable battery.

Recharge the rechargeable battery as soon as the display shows the low battery
symbol

11 Calibration
11.1 Calibrating the touch display
Frequently re-calibrate the touch display.
1. In the menu, go to "Settings > Touch".
2. Use the touch pen and click all the calibration points to complete the calibration.
12 Ink cartridges
12.1 Installing ink catridges
1. If the display is on, switch the printer off by pushing the power button.
2. Flip the cartridge retaining clip back.
3. Remove the protective cover from the cartrige.
4. Remove the seal from the cartrige nozzle.
5. Align the contacts on the cartrige nozzle with the contacts in the cartridge holder.
6. Hook the cartridge into the holder.
7. Move cartrige lever up to lock the cartrige in place.
Important:
After unsealing a cartrige, do not keep it installed in the printer or store it for more
than 3 - 4 months.
12.2 Removing and storing cartridges
If you do not use the printer for some time, remove the cartridge and store it separately
from the printer to prevent the printer from clogging up.
1. If the display is on, switch the printer off by pushing the power button.
2. Unlock the cartrige by flipping the cartrige lever back.
3. Remove the cartridge and attach the protective cover.
Important:
Discard unsealed catridges after storing them for more than 3 - 4 months.
