4.3 Sawing of LSG discs with GLAS-EX TURBO
The application of the GLAS-EX TURBO is comparable to the GLAS-EX glass saw described in
chapter 4.2. The cutting blade of the GLAS-EX TURBO can also be used to prick an attachment
point into the glass. To do this, knock the cutting blade into the pane at a 90° angle.
With one hand on the cordless screwdriver and one hand on the handle area of the GLAS-
EX TURBO, the device can be manoeuvred very easily over the windscreen. Set the cordless
screwdriver to the highest speed and cut in the desired direction with a slight advance.
Due to the small stroke and the small immersion depth, considerably larger openings can be
achieved, even directly above the dashboard.
4.4 Removal of ESG panes with spring centre punch
ESG panes can be removed quickly and easily with our safety spring centre punch. For a
controlled destruction of the pane, it is advisable to mask it beforehand to prevent the shards
and fragments from flying around.
Then place the carbide tip of the spring centre punch in one of the corners of the pane.
Pull the spring back about 10 cm and release it.
ATTENTION!
Do not overextend the spring of the spring centre punch. Even a small draw
of about 8-10 cm is enough to punch the pane!
