• The DCF signal is a signal that is
sent by a transmitter in Mainflingen
(near Frankfurt on the Main). Its
range is up to 1500 km, and under
perfect reception conditions even
up to 2000 km.
Among others, the DCF signal
contains the precise time and date.
Of course, the tedious switching
between summer and winter time
manually can also be dispensed
with.
• If the projection clock has properly read the DCF signal, the current
time, date, month and weekday will appear. The radio tower symbol
stops flashing.
During daylight savings time, a small symbol "
to the left of the radio tower symbol.
• The projection clock will try to receive the DCF signal every day at the
full hour. A single successful reception per day will keep the deviation
of the integrated clock below a second.
While charging a smartphone via the USB charging port (9),
there will be no scan for the DCF signal.
• If you do not see any current time in the display of the projection clock
after 7 minutes (the radio tower symbol disappears), relocate the
projection clock.
Then push the button "°C/°F WAVE" (14) for 3 seconds to restart the
DCF reception attempt.
Alternatively, the time and date can be set manually at the projection
clock, e.g. when the projection clock is operated in a location where
DCF reception is not possible.
• The projection clock can be put up on a level, stable surface with the
base integrated firmly into the housing. Protect valuable furniture
surfaces from scratches with suitable pads.
Select a location as operating site that is not in the sun or next to a
radiator. This will falsify the temperature display.
• The projection clock is now ready for operation.
