6.2.2
Teaching in the BCS R08RRE-PI...
(sensor with IO-Link)
The switch point can be taught in via two inputs:
–
DI input
–
IO-Link
Teaching in the sensor via the DI input:
The DI input is configured as a teach line at the
factory.
1. Connect DI input and L+.
⇒ Display changes to Teach-In (yellow-green flashes
alternately).
2. Disconnect DI input from L+.
⇒ Switching threshold is applied.
The teach-in process is complete when the display returns
to its normal state.

6.3
Calibrate sensors
6.3.1
Calibration for object detection (BCS...-12...)
A full calibration must be carried out for object detection.
Notes:
– The effective switching interval is influenced
by the installation conditions.
– If the object is too close to the sensor, the
calibration is aborted with an error (see
display during calibration).
– Observe the permissible detection range of
the sensor and application-dependent
reduction factors!
– If the installation conditions are changed, a
new calibration must be carried out.
Calibrating object detection:
1. Move the object into the
desired switching range.
2. Check reliable object
detection.
