Installation and connection

5.1

Preparation for installation

Observe the ambient conditions as specified in
the data sheet! The data sheet can be found at
www.balluff.com.
5.1.1 Clearances and distances when mounting
several sensors
L1
SL0: L1 ≥ 40 mm
SL50: L1 ≥ 32 mm

Mounting without holder

5.2.1

Mounting on flat surface

The sensor can be fastened with screws via the mounting
holes. There are two types of mounting:
Standard mounting
–
– Reverse mounting
NOTICE
Damage to the sensor
Exceeding the maximum tightening torque can damage
the sensor.
► Observe the maximum tightening torque of 0.2
Nm.
Screwing the sensor on:
1. Align the sensor on the
mounting surface.
2. Screw on the sensor through
the mounting holes using M3
screws.
3. Check that the sensor is
fastened securely.
5.2.2

Mounting on pipes with a small diameter

The sensor can be attached to pipes with a small diameter
using cable ties.
Fastening the sensor:
1. Align the sensor on the pipe.
2. Attach the sensor to the pipe
with two cable ties.
3. Check that the sensor is
fastened securely.
