Operation

If the membrane key is damaged or defect, please discon-
nect the device and send away for repair! If the membrane is
removed there is the risk of an electrical shock!
Do not operate the foot switch during tank selection.
⇒ Switch the illumination on (3)
⇒ Select the blasting tank at the selection switch (9, Fig 1)
⇒ Take the respective hand piece from the selected blasting tank
(see coloured marking)
⇒ Activate the foot switch (25, Fig 1)
♦ The sandblasting material will flow as long as the foot switch is
activated
5.1
Prebonder blasting concept
5.1.1
Control tip
The Prebonder handpiece features a specially designed ergonom-
ic handle and an integrated control tip This ensures the following
advantages:
• It helps to keep the optimum distance from the surface during
the blasting process
The distance has a significant impact on the energy input:
- If the energy input is too high, it may damage the material
structure and/or reduce the surface's wettability
- If the energy input is too low, surface activation will be insuffi-
cient, which will in turn reduce the adhesive strength
• The precise blasting indicator permits to see exactly where the
abrasive is applied This helps to protect sensitive areas, such
as crown margins or already polished surfaces, and to avoid
unintentional sandblasting
5.1.2
Jet nozzle
Unlike conventional nozzles, which are designed primarily for maximum material removal, the prebonder
jet nozzle has been optimized specifically for the requirements of adhesive surface pretreatment.
Thanks to its unique geometric design, the focus is on targeted transformation of the surface for optimal
adhesion, rather than removal of material
5.1.3
Function check with the control pad
We recommend using the enclosed control pad to ensure the correct setting of blasting energy before
sandblasting the dental restoration
If the color of the pad changes after 4 seconds of sandblasting, then the energy level is set optimally for
surface conditioning

Blasting Notes
Flat blasting with wide nozzles:
90003-1739
15 x 35 mm [0059 x 0138 inch]
When blasting glass ceramics, refer to manu facturer's notes
