INFORMATIVE NOTE: Before using the helmet, carefully read the instructions; failure to follow the instructions could reduce the safety offered. The
manufacturer and/or distributor decline all responsibility in the event of accident, injury or death due to improper use.
PURPOSE OF THE DEVICE: This helmet:
• is designed to protect the user's head from damage caused by impact, penetration, heat, flame and hot embers during firefighting and related
activities in wooded environments (forests, crops, plantations and/or agricultural land) in accordance with EN 16471:2014;
• it is designed to protect the user's head from damage caused by impact, penetration, flame, electrical and chemical risk during technical rescue
and related activities according to EN 16473:2014;
• it is designed to protect the user's head during mountaineering and similar activities according to EN 12492:2012;
• it is designed to protect the user's head from limited impacts and concussion during canoeing, kayaking and sports in torrential waters of classes 1
to 4 (classification indicated by the International Canoe Federation) according to the EN 1385:2012 standard when the 'Protective panels' accessory
is mounted on the helmet;
it is not suitable for firefighting inside confined buildings or other structures (for these types of devices, refer to the EN 443 standard);
it is not designed to provide protection in case of entrapment in flames;
• it is not suitable for rescue in water using motorised craft such as boats, etc., or for use in extreme torrential waters (classes 5 and 6 according to
the classification indicated by the International Canoe Federation).
This product is Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and as such has undergone an EU certification procedure in accordance with the requirements
of Annex V of EU Regulation 2016/425. It is also subject to a control procedure in accordance with Annex VII of the aforementioned regulation as
Category III PPE. The certification and control procedures have been entrusted to the notified body n°2008, Certottica S.c.r.l., Z.i. Villanova 7/A, 32013
Longarone, BL – Italy. The helmet is constructed in such a way as to absorb the energy of an impact through the partial distribution and/or damage
to the essential components. It must be used exclusively for the activity for which it has been certified (see marking). Warning: a helmet cannot
always protect you from injury. In particular, it is important to remember that no helmet can protect your head from the forces generated by violent
impacts. After a violent impact, even if no damage is visible, replace the helmet, as it may have exhausted its capacity to absorb further impacts
and provide the expected protection. Warning: this helmet complies with the retention requirements of the above standards only when worn with
the chin strap closed and adjusted according to the instructions in this information note. Warning: The helmet is made of hypoallergenic materials,
however some particularly sensitive users may experience allergic reactions. In this case, we recommend that you stop using the helmet and, if
necessary, consult a doctor. Warning: Modifications to the helmet are not permitted. Do not apply labels and/or stickers that do not comply with
the manufacturer's specifications. Do not paint the helmet. Any intervention or modification not authorized by the Manufacturer can compromise
the protective function of the helmet and will void the product warranty. Warning: the helmet complies with the EN 1385:2012 standard only when
all the components of the 'Protective panels' accessory are correctly mounted. KASK S.p.A. declines all responsibility due to incorrect assembly. For
the correct assembly of the accessory, refer to the information note. Warning: the helmet must not be used by anyone who has not been trained in
its use. Warning: do not use the helmet as a support or container, do not compress it, do not drop it, avoid contact with sharp objects. Do not hold
the helmet by the cutting ring. Warning: always protect the helmet from chemical agents and solvents.

USE: The helmet must be adjusted to fit the user, the straps must be positioned so as not to cover the ears, the buckle (9) must be positioned
away from the mandibular bone and the straps and buckle together must be adjusted so that they are both comfortable and firmly in place. With
the chinstrap (10) properly fastened and adjusted, always check that the helmet does not compress the head excessively or move freely back and
forth (see Fig. 1). Refer to the section "Helmet adjustments". Warning: do not use outside the temperature range -30°C / +50°C. Warning: as a
precaution, it is imperative to wear the helmet throughout the activity. For adequate protection, it is important that the helmet is the right size and
fits well on the head to offer maximum comfort and safety. Note: When using the helmet for fighting forest and/or vegetation fires or for technical
rescue activities, it is essential to keep the caps that close the slits in points 2, 4 and 6 and the lamp holder clips in place. If the caps are removed, the
necessary level of protection is not guaranteed. The caps in point 6 can only be removed to insert visors or face shields suitable for fighting forest
and/or vegetation fires and must be replaced on the helmet at the end of the accessory's use. A complete set of caps for slots 2, 4 and 6 is supplied
in the helmet box. Keep it in a safe place to replace any lost components. KASK S.p.A. declines all responsibility for damage or injury deriving from
non-compliance with this warning.
Helmet adjustments: Put on the helmet and adjust the size by turning the rear wheel (12) clockwise to tighten and anticlockwise to loosen, or simply
12
