Working with the appliance

WARNING!
► The leaf blower may only be used for the
following purposes:
As a blower for piling up dry foliage or
blowing it out of hard-to-reach places.
► When working, take care not to hit the
appliance against hard objects that could
cause damage.
■ You will achieve optimum results when using
the blower at a distance of 5 - 10 cm from the
ground.
■ Direct the air jet away from you. Be careful not
to stir up any heavy objects that could injure
someone or damage something.
■ Start work with the highest blowing power to
quickly collect the leaves lying around. Select a
lower blowing power to compact the previously
collected pile of leaves.
■ Use a broom or rake to loosen any leaves
adhering to the ground before blowing.
■ Hold the appliance by the handle 1 when
working.
Working with the blower pipe and attach-
ment/flat nozzle (see Fig. B)
With the blower pipe 4 and attachment 6, you
can collect leaves over a wider area. The flat
nozzle u acts as a turbo nozzle. You can
achieve the highest air speed with this nozzle.

Cleaning and maintenance

WARNING!
► Danger due to moving parts! Switch off the
appliance before carrying out any mainte-
nance work and remove the batteries from
the appliance.
► Have all repair and maintenance work not
described in these instructions carried out by
our Service Centre or a qualified electrician.
Only use original replacement parts.
♦ Before each use, check the appliance for any
defects or damage, such as loose, worn or
damaged parts.
♦ Carry out maintenance and cleaning work
regularly.
♦ Many faults and accidents are due to inade-
quate maintenance and care.
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
► Do not immerse the appliance in water or
other liquids and do not spray it with water to
clean it.
♦ Keep the ventilation slots, motor housing and
handles of the appliance clean. Use a damp
cloth or brush for this purpose. Do not use
cleaning agents or solvents. This could cause
irreparable damage to the appliance.

Storage

♦ Keep the cleaned appliance in a dry and dust-
free place and always out of the reach of
children.
You can remove the blower pipe 4, the attach-
ment 6 and the flat nozzle u from the motor
housing 3 for storage (see the corresponding
assembly instructions in the section "Fitting/
removing the blower pipe and flat nozzle").
■ There is a mount p on the underside of the
appliance, which can be used to hang the
appliance on the wall using a screw/nail
(Ø 7-10 mm) (Fig. C)
