CAN THE ACE KETOSCAN LITE ALSO BE
USED WITHOUT THE APP?
Yes, the device can also be used without the KETO-
SCAN Lite app, the measured value is only shown on
the display of the ACE KETOSCAN Lite anyway.
WHAT IS THE „SENSOR CONDITIONING" MODE?
The ACE KETOSCAN Lite automatically performs a Sen-
sor Conditioning Test before each test to adjust the sen-
sor. If necessary, the device will also request a breath
sample to be used as a reference during the diagnostic
procedure. The Sensor Conditioning Test starts as soon
as the device is switched on, then a countdown to 0
runs and at the end „OK" is shown on the display. After
that, the countdown starts again and then the unit is
ready for a test. Note: These Sensor Conditioning Tests
are not a malfunction or a deterioration in performance.
IS THERE A WAY TO MINIMIZE THE NUMBER
OF SENSOR CONDITIONING TESTS?
Sensor Conditioning Tests are an important process
which protects the sensor from environmental materials
& gases. It ensures test accuracy and the long-term sta-
bility of your ACE KETOSCAN Lite sensor. In fact, this
function is usually installed in breathalyzers used by law
enforcement to avoid incorrect readings.
DO THE SENSOR CONDITIONING TESTS COUNT
AMONG THE 300 TESTS THAT CAN BE PERFORMED
WITH THE ACE KETOSCAN LITE?
As mentioned in the user manual, with the ACE ACE
KETOSCAN Lite you can conduct 300 tests, then the
device must be sent to a service partner such as ACE
Instruments for a calibration or a sensor exchange. After
300 tests, no more tests are possible due to the possi-
bility of too high inaccuracy. The Sensor Conditioning
Tests are not added to the 300 tests possible with the
instrument! This means that 300 tests can be perfor-
med in any case.
