IMPORTANT NOTES
» Directly in the morning after getting up, the ketone
bodies are usually relatively low. This is due to the na-
tural rise in cortisol and the associated rise in blood
sugar. Therefore, the best time to measure is later in
the morning, but in any case before you have had
breakfast. The frequency is at the individual's discre-
tion. Note: In keto-adapted athletes, a very strong rise
in blood glucose is often noticeable after training.
» Consult a ketosis expert or doctor as soon as possib-
le if the measurement result is more than 60 PPM and,
on top of that, this value is present continuously for a
longer period of time.
» The ACE KETOSCAN Lite automatically performs self-
tests from time to time to adjust the sensor. If neces-
sary, the device also requests a breath sample, which
is used as a reference during the diagnosis. The self-
test starts as soon as the unit is switched on, then a
countdown to 0 runs and at the end „OK" is shown
on the display. After that, the countdown starts again
and then the unit is ready for a test. Note: These self-
tests are not a malfunction or a deterioration in per-
formance.
The self-diagnostic mode is an important process that
protects the sensor from environmental materials and
gases. It ensures the test accuracy and long-term sta-
bility of the KETOSCAN sensor. Such a sensor type is
normally installed in respirators used by law enforce-
ment to avoid false readings. To Litemise self-diagno-
stic mode, leave your device in an area of your home
that is not exposed to odours or gases. After the test,
leave the top cover of the unit open.
» Operation of this unit is no longer possible once the
number of measurements exceeds 300. Once this
number of tests has been reached, the unit must be
sent to a service partner such as ACE Instruments for
calibration or sensor replacement. After 300 tests, a
maximum of 20 more tests can be performed, then no
