• The product shall be operated and maintained as
recommended in these instructions to prevent an
unnecessary increase in noise level.
Hazards due to vibrations
• Exposure to vibrations can cause nerve paralysis
and interruption of blood supply to hands and arms.
• Wear warm clothes when working in cold conditions
and keep your hands warm and dry.
• If you experience numbness, tingling, pain or whit-
ening of the skin on your fingers or hands, you
should seek medical advice from a qualified occu-
pational physician regarding general activities.
• Use and maintain the product as recommended in
this manual to prevent an unnecessary increase in
vibration level.
• Hold the product with a light but secure grip, as the
risk from vibrations is generally greater when the
gripping force is higher.
Additional safety instructions for compressed
air-operated products:
• Compressed air can cause serious injuries.
• Always close the air supply and disconnect the
product from the air supply when it is not in use.
• Always disconnect the product from the com-
pressed air supply before switching accessories,
making adjustments and/or repairs and when mov-
ing from one work area to another.
• Keep fingers away from the trigger when the prod-
uct is not in use and when moving from one operat-
ing position to another.
• Never direct compressed air at yourself or anyone else.
• Flared hose lines can cause serious injuries. Always
check for damaged or loose hoses or connections.
• Never carry a compressed air-operated product by
its hose.
• Never pull a compressed air-operated product by
its hose.
• Do not exceed the maximum operating pressure
when using compressed air-operated products.
• Compressed air powered products should only be
operated by compressed air at the lowest possible
pressure for the working process in order to reduce
noise and vibration and to minimise wear and tear.
• The use of oxygen or flammable gases for operation
of compressed air-operated products creates a fire
and explosion hazard.
• Take care when using compressed air-operated
products as the product may become cold, affect-
ing grip and control.
Supplementary safety instructions for air nail
guns
• Danger of injury! Never exceed the maximum per-
missible working pressure of 8 bar. Use a pressure
reducer to set the working pressure.
• Keep your work area clean and well-lit. Disorgan-
ised and unlit work areas can result in accidents.
• Keep children and other people away while using
the product. Distractions may cause you to lose
control of the product.
• Always remain attentive, pay attention to what you
are doing and be sensible when working with a driv-
ing-in device.
• Do not use a driving-in device while you are tired
or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medi-
cation. A moment of carelessness when using the
driving-in device can result in serious injuries.
• Disconnect the product from the compressed air
source before repair and maintenance work as well
as before transport.
Additional notes for compressed air-operated
driving-in devices
• Danger of injury! Do not operate the product if
the release safety catch is defective or has been
removed. Otherwise, injuries may result.
• When disconnecting the hose coupling, hold the
hose firmly in your hand to avoid injuries caused
by a hose recoiling.
• Be sure to use a ¼" threaded nipple and a quick
coupling for the compressed air supply. Otherwise,
the staples/nails are shot out very slowly or with
little pressure.
• The compressed air-operated driving-in device may
only be connected to cables where it is ensured that
the maximum permitted pressure is prevented from
being exceeded by more than 10%, e.g. by means
of a pressure control valve (pressure reducer) in-
stalled in the compressed air cable with a down-
stream or built-in pressure relief valve.
Triggering device & triggering system
• This driving-in device is triggered by pressing the
trigger with the finger. In addition, certain driving-in
products must be equipped with a release safety
catch which only enables a driving-in operation
when the muzzle of the product is placed on a work-
piece. These products are marked with a triangle on
the top and must not be used without an effective
release safety catch.
