• If you find visible damage on the kettle or the power cable
(6), switch off the kettle immediately, remove the plug from
the socket and contact the service department (see
'Warranty information' section).
• Only plug the base (7) into a power socket that is properly
installed and easily accessible and whose mains voltage
corresponds with the rating plate specifications. No action is
required by the user to set the product to 50 or 60 Hz. The
product automatically adjusts to 50 and to 60 Hz. Following
connection, the power socket must continue to be easily
accessible so that the plug can be quickly removed in an
emergency.
• Do not spill liquid onto the device plug connection.
• Never immerse the base (7) in water or any other liquid. If
liquid enters into the base (7), remove the plug from the
socket and contact the service department (see 'Warranty
information' section).
DANGER of fire
• Fill the kettle (8) with a minimum of 0.5 litres of water. If you
do not pour in enough water, there is a risk of fire due to
overheating.
• Keep the kettle at least 50 cm away from flammable and
combustible materials. There is a risk of fire.
