ADJUSTING CUTTING HEIGHT

To change the cutting height:
1. Stop the engine.
2. Pull the adjusting lever [1] towards the outside of the machine.
3. Turn the adjusting lever [1] left or right to move the wheels up or down to raise or lower the
cutting height.
The cutting height settings are approximate values, the actual height of the cut grass varies with
the lawn and ground condition. To choose the cutting height, check how the lawn looks after
mowing a small area and adjust the cutting height where necessary.
NOTE:
• Do not cut more than 1/3 of the initial height of the grass in one passage as brown spots will
appear. The cut will be cleaner and this will limit the amount of jamming.
• If the lawn is too high, mow at the maximum permissible height of the mower. Mow the lawn
again 2 or 3 days later.
• The depth of the roots is proportional to the height of the grass cuttings: the shorter the cut,
the shallower the roots.
• Choose a cutting height suited to the use of the lawn: leisure, sport: 5 cm or more,
ornamental: 1 to 3 cm.
• Only some species of lawn can endure short cuts. If a lawn is cut too short, it is fragile and
susceptible to dryness. Please ask the advice of a specialist.

RÉGLAGE DE LA HAUTEUR DE COUPE
Pour changer la hauteur de coupe :
1. Arrêter le moteur.
2. Tirer le levier d'ajustement [1] vers l'extérieur de la machine.
3. Tourner le levier d'ajustement [1] vers la gauche ou la droite pour augmenter ou diminuer la
hauteur de coupe.
Les réglages de hauteur de coupe correspondent à des valeurs approximatives, la hauteur
réelle de l'herbe coupée varie avec l'état de la pelouse et du sol. Pour choisir la hauteur de
coupe, vérifier l'aspect de la pelouse après avoir tondu une petite surface et, le cas échéant,
régler la hauteur de coupe.
NOTE :
• Ne pas couper plus du 1/3 de la hauteur initiale de l'herbe en un passage, des taches brunes
apparaîtraient. La coupe sera plus nette et cela limitera les bourrages.
• Si la pelouse est trop haute, tondre à la hauteur maximum permise par la tondeuse. Tondre
à nouveau 2 ou 3 jours plus tard.
• La profondeur des racines est proportionnelle à la hauteur des brins d'herbe : plus la coupe
est courte, moins les racines sont profondes.
• Choisir une hauteur de coupe adaptée à l'utilisation de la pelouse : loisirs, sport : 5 cm et
plus, ornement : 1 à 3 cm.
• Seules certaines espèces de gazon supportent les coupes courtes. Une pelouse coupée trop
courte est fragile et sensible à la sécheresse. Demandez conseil à un spécialiste.
