Setting the warning threshold (minimum flow rate)
For the Renfert suction mouth (REF: 2925 0000), a threshold value of "20" must be defined.
en
For threshold values for other certified dust detection units, contact the respective manufacturer.
If a threshold value cannot be obtained, set the largest threshold value of "25" on the SILENT flow sensor
and select an appropriately adjusted, higher suction level on the extraction unit.
⇒ Press the button until a confirmation tone is output.
♦ The green operating indicator (9) flashes quickly.
♦ The yellow indicator of the last threshold value defined lights up (5, 6, 7).
⇒ Press the button briefly.
♦ Every time you press the button, a confirmation tone is output, and the next threshold value is select-
ed.
To save the selected threshold value:
⇒ Press the button until a confirmation tone is output.
♦ The green operating indicator (9) lights up.
♦ The yellow indicator for the defined threshold value lights up (5, 6, 7).
If a button is not pressed for 5 seconds, the threshold value defined at that time is automatically
saved; a short warning tone is output and the unit exits setting mode.
Zero Adjustment (Taring)
To ensure a correct measurement, a zero adjustment (taring) must be performed on the SILENT
flow sensor during commissioning and at regular intervals.
The zero adjustment is performed if no flow rate passes through the SILENT flow sensor.
⇒ The SILENT flow sensor is installed and electrically connected.
⇒ Extraction is not in operation!
⇒ Press the key for approx. 5 sec..
♦ After approx. 2 sec., a single acoustic signal sounds for setting the warning threshold.
⇒ Continue to hold down the key.
♦ After approx. 5 sec., a double acoustic signal sounds to perform the zero adjustment.
⇒ Release the key.
♦ The displays flash alternately.
♦ The zero adjustment is performed.
♦ After approx. 5 sec. the SILENT flow sensor returns automatically into operating mode; the zero ad-
justment is completed.
Checking leak-tightness
♦ The SILENT flow sensor is connected to a socket.
♦ The green operating indicator (9) lights up.
♦ The yellow indicator for the defined threshold value lights up (5, 6, 7).
⇒ Switch suction on.
♦ The green operating indicator begins to flash.
♦ The yellow indicator for the defined threshold value lights up.
⇒ Close the suction mouth with your hand so that air is no longer drawn in through the suction mouth.
⇒ Pay attention to noises that could indicate leakage.
