Unpacking
⇒ Check the delivery for completeness (compare with the "Scope of delivery").
Connection
⇒ Determine a location where you can install the SILENT flow sensor.
See the sequence of images at the beginning of this Quick Start Guide:

⇒ Cut the suction hose at an appropriate location.
When using extractor switches, the SILENT flow sensor must always be placed between the
switch and the suction mouth.
Before installation, verify that the inlet nozzle IN (1) and the outlet nozzle OUT (3) are screwed in
fully until stop into the SILENT flow sensor.
If the inlet nozzle and outlet nozzle are not fully screwed in, this could result in leakage that could
distort the measurement result and cause unwanted noise.

⇒ Screw the end bushing on to the end of the tube.
Direction of rotation: Counter-clockwise!

⇒ By rotating, insert the end bushing until stop into the inlet nozzle IN and the outlet
nozzle OUT (3).
The SILENT flow sensor must be operated in an upright position.
The suction current must flow through the SILENT flow sensor from top to bottom.
If installed on its side, dust could accumulate and distort the measurement result.
When routing the tube, avoid sharp bends and kinks.
⇒ Install the SILENT flow sensor using appropriate attachment material, for example the cable ties provid-
ed or screws (screws are not included with the delivery).
Electrical connection
If required, use one of the mains power adapters provided for connection to a building electrical
socket.
⇒ Insert the power plug into a building electrical socket.
♦ All 4 LEDs light up, the measurement system initializes. This can take approx. 10 seconds.
♦ A short acoustic signal is output when initialization is complete.
Once initialization is complete:
♦ The green operating indicator (9) lights up.
♦ The yellow indicator for the defined threshold value lights up (5, 6, 7).
