Installation of the switch into the luggage compartment right-
-hand lining panel

- Click the switch (E) into the cover (D) as pictured so that all 4 tabs on the body of the switch
fit into the respective holes in the cover -arrows-.
Warning. All tabs must audibly fall into place in the respective holes on both sides
of the cover.

- On the right-hand side of the luggage compartment (in the direction of travel), remove the end
cap for the cover with the switch from the side trim panel.
- 16, 17 -
- Click the cover with the attached switch from the inner side of the lining into the hole in the
luggage compartment side lining panel so that all the attachment tabs of the cover click into
place -arrows-.
- Connect the respective terminal strip of the vehicle's existing wiring, or the terminal strip of
wiring bundle 5E3 055 204A in vehicles not prepared for tow bar installation, to the terminal
strip of the switch in the luggage compartment side lining panel -close-up-.
Warning. Make sure that the wiring leading to the switch does not cross any
edges of the bodywork.
In the vicinity of such edges, wrap the bundle using a sufficient ammunt of
abrasion-resistant tape.
Replace all removed parts and tighten the respective connections using specified
tightening torque.
Connect the battery and perform all tasks related to disconnecting and reconnecting the
battery

Note. If you are installing two or more products equipped with a control unit from
the Škoda Genuine Accessories portfolio, connect and activate them gradually. If
you activate the units at once, activation may not work correctly (a control unit that
is not part of the activation process must not be connected).
- Start a new diagnostic session, using the ODIS program.
- Select the „Special Functions" tab
- Select „Adapting software"
- Select „SVM via action code"
- Please enter the corrective action code
- You can find the action code in the ETKA catalog under the part number of the specific tow bar.
- Complete the diagnostic process in an ordinary manner.
Caution. Make sure that the code is correct before confirming it. Deactivation
is not possible!
